WheatieMan
Absolutely sickening... the time to tune out the NFL is soon for me. Very soon. Hopefully my Cowboys go back to sucking so I can move on from this fandom for good.
43M
I remember always trading for him or signing him for the Steelers in Madden. Always hoped Steelers would get him in real life, too. The heartbreaking offseason continues.

When you’re a kid football players are gods and Marion was one of the OGs for myself Right, he and Alstott were the tough nosed hard running dudes when I first got into football. RIP. Never forget the best 2 yard run ever.

If this was suicide then I wouldn't put it on CTE. This sounds more like a result of a lifestyle he chose that he couldn't escape before it was too late.
Geezy
Absolutely terrible to hear, what a tragedy. I have no idea what he was like off the field. But man 38 is too damn young, and his life must have really gotten out of hand. I hope he is at peace.
///mcompact
I loved watching his style of running especially when contrasted against the two Jones RBs (Julius and soft-*** Felix) he shared carries with. Absolutely would never go down at first contact. He ran his heart out every handoff. He didn't get his nickname "Marion the Barbarian" for nothing. Years after he retired, he would sometimes come around the Dallas practice facilities during the pre-season and there'd be reports that he was not only looking rough, but speaking in a a barely coherent fashion. And this was almost a decade ago. Rest easy, Marion. You displayed true heart and toughness.
Kiwibrown
Was it Bill Parcells who told him his running style was dangerous? the dude weaponized his helmet, which would have had something to do with his untimely death.
incognito_man
Hopefully his premature death can provide some good to this world somehow. Hopefully he elected to donate his brain to science to further our understanding of CTE.
MSURacerDT55
Had the privilege of playing against him in college, dude was a monster at Minnesota. I almost guarantee he was dealing with CTE bad, I hate to hear this and pray for his family and friends during this tough time.

No matter where they started getting tackled, they would fall forward an extra 5 yards. RIP.
