Clarkson was just 6MOY and a key piece for an elite offense. Asking for everything? I just think we’ll get more then Westbrooks deal and a pick in 5 years for Clarkson, Bogdanovic, Beverly and a 1st lol

What exactly do you think Clarkson's value is?

Seems like the holdup is Barrett and how many less picks the Jazz would accept if he was in the deal.  If it’s a bunch of dead weight they’re looking at all 7 picks/3 swaps.

The Jazz want 6-7 unprotected 1sts and aren't coming down.

Every team in the league should be able to pay their drafted players what they are worth without being penalized. Why should a team be penalized for drafting players they can develop to their full potential just to be forced to deal them away to other organizations who had just as much opportunity to do the same.

I actually don't fully disagree. It's seemingly a punishment for drafting really well.

Bottom tier teams and cheaper owners who want revenue sharing will never go for that, though.

This happens in every league across sports though, it seems to only get brought up in basketball. Plenty of FAs leave their drafted teams in the NFL and it’s just a part of the deal.

buddy will be unplayable in the playoffs after the first round.  (even they even get past that)swap Brogdon out and 2 FRPs are actually worth it for LA.

Turner fits next to AD but with his injury history its just not justifiable to send two frps. not mad at pelinka for standing firm

yeah im aware IJS lakers should have considered a Turner plus player package earlier when he was there for the taking. Not like they have many options now but looks like they are holding out hope for Kyrie or EG.
