I can see why the Blazers did the trade, but doesn’t really make them that much better. Still have pick 7 to trade away for a proven vet. If they can get OG they might be working with something. Keeping Grant around would have done nothing to help Cade and their other young players. It's decent value considering that Grant isn't that good. If the Kings defense is terrible again it’ll be because of our wing play. But keeping Sabo at 5 and Collins at 4 isn’t a huge plus on the defensive side but it’s not worse than Sabo at 5 and Barnes at 4. And they are too early in the process to care too much but this is something they will need to change. At the very least, they need to add some veteran players to this core that play defense. Where does Gordon get traded to? Rockets first need to get a defensive minded assistant coach first. Not worried about the defense going forward if they can hire a legit coach. They have players on the roster currently that can play defense. It's a matter of getting proper coaching. I think the Sixers or Suns end up trading for Gordon when its all said and done.
