Plus Doc is competent enough not to get in the way.

bruceb
Just noticed that this thread was started over 2.5 years ago and we still haven't even achieved mediocrity.
Don Roshi
We should only draft wings. Draft wings until you hit on a couple, then trade for a smart, efficient PG. Grab a couple of bigs off the scrap heap, then championships. Point guards don't win anything unless two of the other teams best players get injured, or you sign a top 3 player. Yeah I don't understand why we refuse to draft wings.

The only one that would’ve made sense would’ve been Cam Reddish over Garland And I think with Windler out right now you can’t really see the effort they tried putting in to get a guy they liked

Because they’re usually the most flawed out of the other positions. They normally don’t shoot, pass, or dribble well like guards. They don’t play in the low post like big men do or defend like they do. It’s magnified with a team like Houston when you watch them. However, obviously guys like Lebron, KD, Kawhi, and Giannis are freaks. Edited March 4, 2020 by candyman93

Or SGA. Garland was clearly the highest upside player remaining at his spot. I don't fault them for either pick really. If we get a wing this draft we're fine.
