No one can guard embiid. We lost because we way over helped on him leaving others wide open.

Yeah, you don’t help on him when you’ve got guys like Allen and Mobley.

Make it as hard on him as you can with one of those dudes, but make sure other guys don’t also beat you.

Imagine blowing a 19+ point lead twice in less than a week to the same team

Check your facts, candy.... LOL!

It was a comeback from 20 down on 2/6 and a 21 point comback on 2/11.....

All good.

I think it is safe to say we are living in the Pacers' minds.

Unfortunately, the 76ers kinda brought this team back down to Earth

Just thoroughly dominated without having Harden.

I read after the game that our players noticed this - sold out arena, rowdy fans, home team off to a quick start - i.e. playoff environment -

And we couldn't muster the enthusiasm to match their intensity.

You can blame the schedule, but those are the realities of life on the road in the NBA. File this one away under "Learning Experiences of a Young Team".

The good thing is that this was NOT a playoff game, so it did not cost us dearly. I am sure that Rondo will help get the coaches' point across that now we KNOW what to expect in the future in that situation.

We will grow from this and be better for it.

And just to put a bow on Saturday's loss to Philly -

We still sit in the 3rd spot in the EC Standings (Home court advantage - first series) with 26 to go.

It is all still right in front of us.

The Cavs desperatly need Lauri back if nothing more than to give them a another legit 3pt shooter to space the floor.

Games like the one in Philly sort of exposes the Cavs lack of consistent 3pt shooting being a massive problem in the playoffs. Darius Garland cant be the only perimeter player on the team who can consistently hit 3s.

Our biggest problem was letting Embiid get 40 and a triple double super efficiently.

Allen and Okoro got destroyed.

He was on fire that night, Allen was playing his *** off but a lot of the time it just didnt matter when your dealing with the eventually NBA MVP. Now we know how other teams in the EC felt that had to deal with Lebron.

Big game tonight in Atlanta - almost a must win for the Cavs.

Let me explain myself there. It certainly is not a must win as far as determining the playoff fate of this team.

But it is for these three reasons.

1). - The Cavs came into a hostile playoff environment Saturday night, and got dominated. Need to see growth from that to put away the red flags. The Hawks will bring a similar type of energy than what we saw Saturday. The Hawks are currently in the last (10th) playoff slot in the EC, and they don't want to endanger that. They are below .500, but they play better at home with a 16-13 record. The Cavs have played very well for the most part on the road. They have a 17-13 record so far away from RMFH.

2.) - The Cavs roster, top to bottom is simply better than the Hawks. It looks like Markkanen may be back tonight, which will help. It would be a major step forward in confidence of this season and growth of this team to simply take care of our own business - what we SHOULD take care of.

3.) - God forbid, the Hawks upset us tonight. That would be two bad losses to close before the extended All Star break. That scenario can easily get in our guys heads and linger well past the break. We do NOT need this team to start leaking oil down the stretch. Nothing cleanses the soul and mind like a good win - so let's jet out of Hartsfield with good thoughts between our ears.
