Yeah, that's the most baffling thing to me. Not losing Corbin AND taking on Hosmer?

Apparently Hosmer has a no-trade clause with the Nats on it so we will see what happens.

This is what I wish all teams would do. Eat the money while you suck and get better talent.

I honestly would not be opposed at all to the Cubs taking on Hosmer's contract, now that he has refused to go to Washington.  See if they can squeeze Campusano out of SD.

I wonder if the Padres take a player back now if the Hosmer deal falls through. It feels like they were giving more in order to get rid of his salary.

Idk i read that the Nats were going to pay the remaining salary for this season only and that the Padres were going to be on the hook for the remaining 3 years.

So they try to move him elsewhere....if unsuccessful......oh well, we tried....welcome back.
