The Colts will have a new quarterback this week.

Head coach Frank Reich announced that Sam Ehlinger will start for the Colts in Sunday’s home game against the Commanders. Reich also said that Matt Ryan has a a Grade 2 shoulder separation that will keep him from practicing or playing this week, but he made it clear that the decision to go to Ehlinger was not because of Ryan’s injury.

Ehlinger was a sixth-round pick last year who recently jumped Nick Foles for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart. Reich said he thinks Ehlinger brings “special sauce” to the offense and they’ll get a chance to see it in action this weekend.

Please put the amount of passing yards your QB had for that week when you post, I'd greatly appreciate it. I also wouldn't mind if you added up your total for the week as well! This is not mandatory but it greatly helps. Regardless, I verify what the totals were.

So, for instance, if you used Jameis Winston and then Derek Carr, it would look like this:

Week 1: Winston (194)

Week 2: Carr (198)

Total: 392

I'm open to change. I've said that to you multiple times. 

However, I need a consensus to change things right now. Every single person in this game gets a mention every week. They are aware of these current discussions.

However, you and maybe two other people have brought forth an issue you see. That issue does not critically impact the game, as we pick 18 QBs with 32 teams to pick from, but your issue still has merit.

For me to change things right now, I want everyone's opinion on the matter. If I dont get that, things won't change.

My OPINION on the rule change topic:

We pick a GUY, not THE QB OF TEAM X. I don't care if that guy changes teams or that team changes QB's. The GUY was picked and can't be picked again. I suck at this game big time so it doesn't matter, but this has been my understanding of the rules and would cast my vote for it to remain the same.
