You'd think after 20 years he would have at least thrown one to a random first round cast off the Packers signed at some point. Like a one off TD to a Kenny Britt

Only 1st round WR castoffs we had with 12 at QB were Tavon Austin and Sammy Watkins. Austin only played 4 games (caught 5 passes for 20 yards) and Watkins was only here for 9 (13 catches for 206 yards).

How is this a real stat?

Cowboys would always play Thanksgiving at home on 3 days rest. Then usually they'd play the next Thursday on a weeks rest. Then they would have the mini bye.

But i feel like the Lions would have that scenario too since they also play at home on Thanksgiving?

Dude I got so mad when Monti paid Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols to multi year deals instead of going after someone like Christian Wilkins. We didn't need depth, we needed an impact starter. Roy Lopez and Dante Stills are depth.

And if we weren't going to go after a top DT in free agency, Monti should have targeted the position in the draft on days 1 or 2 with an impact player. This was a deep DT class. He could have had basically anyone besides Byron Murphy but the Cardinals don't like paying good players named Byron Murphy anyways. Instead, he got Darius Robinson, who probably does become a good starter, but he's a tweener. We still have needs at both EDGE and DT.

We could have drafted a DT instead of Robinson and had much more clarity on the DL instead of drafting a DE/DT and still needing both a DT and a DE. Or we could have packaged some picks and moved back up to round 2 to grab a DT instead of using those picks on players like Elijah Jones who was seen as a reach at the time and likely gets cut as soon as he's off IR. Or instead of drafting Tip Reiman in round 3, who is a great blocker, but was also seen as a reach and is our 3rd TE. Or instead of Isaiah Adams who was a subpar OT at Illinois and is not looking like he will buck that trend in the NFL so far. We could have gotten Braden Fiske, Johnny Newton, T'Vondre Sweat, Kris Jenkins, etc. There was no shortage of great prospects on the interior.

Monti is great at getting assets and value. But they way he has spent those assets over his two years in the desert has been troubling. Just so many reaches. Yeah, great, you turned that 2nd round pick into a 2nd and 3rd. Or you turned that 1st into a nearly identical 1st and gained some 3rds in the process. But that doesn't matter if you're drafting day 3 guys with those extra day 2 picks, especially if you aren't consistently proving the consensus wrong on all those reaches. Might as well not make moves to get those assets.

Also what's even worse @HerbertGOAT is that not only was he even worse for Chicago than he was with the Chargers (PFF grades in the 40s with Chicago both years!!!) but now he's even WORSE somehow in Arizona. He has a freaking 30 PFF grade, and then ESPN and Next Gen Stats are backing it up. And then Monti Ossenfort looked at him getting worse each year over the last 5 years to the point of being one of the absolute worst in the league the past couple years, and said "Yeah, let's give him 3 years, 30 million!"

Yup. Fat guys who are "interior pass rushers" but don't have athleticism/juice, AND they can't stop the run are like, the worst kind of D-Lineman. Jones only ever looked passable with a solid Nose like Linval Joseph next to him. Not sure what anybody saw in JJ.
