Lance's right foot was caught underneath and he was twisted with the pile, potentially causing the fracture/dislocation. The second-year quarterback was placed in an air cast, which is typically used for unstable injuries. He will undergo an X-ray to assess whether a fracture is involved. The hope is he's only dealing with a severe high ankle sprain. If the fracture is confirmed, he will require season-ending surgery.
