He's had a lot of different injuries that have hurt his development, with the achilles injury being the most serious. He had several strong games as a rookie where he looked like he could be a really good back. From week 12 or so on of his rookie year including the playoffs he showed a lot of promise and then the achilles happened the next off-season. Henderson has difficulty staying healthy being the primary RB and Kyren Williams is an unknown rookie coming off an ( ankle??) injury. He had one monster game late in his rookie season and had two good playoff games. Akers hype was based all off an extremely small sample size. Tore his Achilles and has lost some juice and isn't always hitting the holes hard. He was a high draft pick and flashed as a rookie. But the Achilles tear he had last year before his 2nd season seems to have really hurt him and his development. Not excusing his poor performance this year just saying there seems to be some stuff going on with the kid. McVay has also said him being inactive tomorrow is not due to performance on the field. May I introduce you to "2020 league winner" Ty'Son Williams? This guy was far and away the Ravens' best RB that year, but solely because of his pass blocking lapses he was inactivated and ultimately cut.
