Missing on Trubisky was also amplified because Watson/Mahomes were drafted a few picks later. Wilson was taken over Mac Jones, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance. Missing on the #2 pick is major most jets fans I follow / talk with believe that JD is the GM going forward and he would deserve another chance at getting a QB. The last 2 drafts outside of the #2 pick have provided a ton of good to elite young talent and it also feels like he got it right with the HC hire. Let’s be realistic here, the Jets we’re picking 4th overall for a reason - they were a bad team last season, not just because Zach Wilson.
