It is the best path to building a strong base. I only go after a big FA signing if the base is there. I would role with Stidham and a cheap FA QB. Just because we have the cap savings from Carr I am not using it next year. It sucks for DA but that was also a reason why I did not want to trade for DA. Everything had to go perfect to make the trade worth it. One more thing in regards to this. Unless JM is a complete idiot, I have a feeling that there may be legs to the rumor that Davis wanted Carr gone and wea ll know Davis is without question an idiot. The reason I say this is because of the tremendous pressure JM is now under with a dumpster fire roster and a bum, clipboard holder as our current QB.
