Wilson’s personal QB coach also said Russ turned down the Eagles and Commanders deals sometime around the combine

But it's not Howie or Schneider, so it doesn't count :ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

"Hey Russell I know you gave us a list of teams and the eagles aren't on it but would you reconsider." "No!" End of conversation

You're really reaching on a dying Hill. We all saw the article. Most of it is BS and the parts that are true Howie was suppose to do those things at that time. Like he always does if there's a possible question mark on the team. Instead of bashing Howie how about you start to appreciate what he's done for our Eagles and given us enjoyable years.

Did Howie stab your dog?

Why is it BS, because you said so ??

Who to trust, Russell Wilson's personal QB coach, or some rando on the FF board ??

Not a tough choice.

And this is not bashing Howie, just pointing out that based on the rest of that draft, the Hurts pick was more luck than skill.

No one has been bashing Howie in this topic. Let's not get those two confused.

Trying to spin this into an anti-Howie/Howie hater convo really just showcases some of the backward thinking and lack of comprehension some fans really have.

You're new, give it time. You'll catch on. 🥃

You can be lucky at times yes. But so were the Patriots with Tom Brady. Looking at it through that lens really comes off as trying to detract from the things that worked out for the best even if it wasn't what was expected. We could've still came up short on trying to mold Jalen and enable him, putting weapons around him. Yes, we got lucky, but we followed that luck up with all the right moves. Give Howie his credit for not just once, but TWICE turning this sinking ship around from catastrophe after just 1/2 short seasons. We could be like the Jets who've been stuck in purgatory for well over a decade.

Both things can be true. YES. Jalen was a stroke of luck, but we took the right course of action given the circumstances that occurred and trying to suggest that Howie doesn't deserve credit as Mike may or may not be implicating is just being a hater.

This is all we have been saying from the get go....all while giving Howie his flowers.

No one has been saying otherwise.

Don't know how it has to be followed by "Were the Seahawks/Patriots lucky?" Yes they were! And so did we and a lot of teams each draft and each game. Nothing wrong with just admitting, instead of "but we made this and that, but how about this picks?" No one has been denying the hits and good decisions, just acknowledging that sometimes you also stumble into success. And each Champion has more than his share amount of luck.

But the Eagles could not have predicted the circumstances.  They had just given Wentz a boat load of money, and they had a responsibility to put players around him.  If Howie was half as successful surrounding Wentz with talent like he has done with Jalen, he may very well still be the QB of the Eagles.

I look at it like this with the Hurts pick.

If we had selected Jefferson, Hurts, DJ Wonnum and L'Jarius Sneed, I would say based on the strength of the other selections this draft was well scouted and planned.

Instead we selected Reagor ( bust who netted as almost nothing in a trade ), Hurts, Davion Taylor ( project who will be nothing more than a special teamer ) and K'Von Wallace ( who likes he never learned how to play football )

Based on the fact that 3 of the top 4 picks are flops in the NFL, it is quite easy to say the got lucky with the Hurts pick.

You are the one reaching.  His personal QB coach said the trade was offered by two teams, one being the Eagles, and Wilson said no.

Why is it so upsetting to you that the Eagles tried to trade for Wilson before last season ????

Just be happy Wilson said no and accept that Howie would have been wrong, but we were saved from that mistake by the player.

Personal QB coach. Enough said. That's part of his job to hype and spew out stuff like this and hype up his guy. You wouldn't do the same for your QB?

Why would I be upset? That makes zero sense. You might get bent out of shape over forum talk but not all of us do. I'm just telling you that you're taking something Seattle has said and running with it. Where's all the Eagle guys talking? I'm only seeing you talk about guys that like Russell

We got our coach hyping up Quez Watkins. Like c'mon dude that's what they do. Hype, spew bs and give us false info majority of the time
