Seahawks extend Geno Smith (3 yr/$105M)

it's a friendly deal. I don't know if it's team friendly. He's not so in-demand that he can demand closer to 40 elsewhere

not too long, not too much. I would have liked heavy incentives. could have been much worse

It's probably structured to give him a lot of money up front as a reward for last season with team outs after years 1 and 2. That makes sense for both sides, so Seahawks can take a project QB in round 1 if they want and have him sit for a season or two. Or keep Geno for the whole deal and use the pick elsewhere.

Came here to see if anyone had details because this is what I expect.

Absolute mirage in both Seattle and Detroit. If neither club with an opportunity to draft a real FQBOTF takes full advantage in this draft! They deserve whatever fate unfolds!

The only 2 QBs worth drafting at 5 or 6 will be gone before those picks anyway.

Richardson and Levis are both too much of a risk to take that high when there will be elite talent available at other positions of need for both teams.

Now if Richardson or Levis are available for either teams 2nd first round pick then maybe.

Seattle still has another DEN 1st round pick next year. It's not out of the realm of possibility to believe that they won't take BPA in this draft then QB next draft.
