I want the best QB to start but you're not wrong with that line of thinking. Only way to know if there's light at the end of the tunnel is to throw him out there and let him sink or swim. Darnold's only a year rental. Makes more sense to see where Lance stands, as a decision will have to be made on him sooner, rather than later. But if they're relatively even coming out of TC, going with Lance seems like a no-brainer if I'm thinking on how I build the team around the most important position on the field, moving forward.
