I’d probably have taken the extra pick and a CB at 29 but I’m not hired to be a GM. If the turned down a day 2 pick, that would be disappointing. If no day 2 pick was offered, I get why they opted to stay put.

most likely similar offer to what the jags got for trading down 3 spots - 4th, 5th, 7th.

I mean, they believe believe in Addison. Stuck to their guns. commendable.

I get it. Still would prefer DL or CB  plus a late third over a WR but I get it and not being critical of the move.

Well, a plus is that he's only 21...and went to a school that produced Larry Fitzgerald (Jordan's time at Pitt was more important than at USC), but it also produced just okay players in Tyler Boyd and Antonio Bryant and a bust in Jonathan Baldwin.

And I really think Jordan needs to hang a giant clock around his neck.

He also went to a school that produced Keyshawn Johnson, JuJu, Robert Woods, and Amon Ra St. Brown 🫡

I don't think the defense will be as bad as last year. We have made moves to fix it, but they just weren't through the draft just yet. The CB depth is strong this class, so we could still realistically move up at any point to nab one. There is no question in my mind that our coaches still believe in last years draft class. Plus, Booth and Evans will actually (hopefully) be healthy and can continue to develop. Same with Cine. Otomewo and Asamoah showed some nice flashes as well.

Addison could have the potential to make our offense truly elite, and the addition of Flores plus the development of last year's class could still make our defense serviceable.

Evans had how many concussions? Anyone that thinks that's going away is likely wrong, IMO.

I hear talk about Addison being a good addition to the team because the team isn't sure if they'll be able to hang onto Osborn after this year.

What is not being said, and what I really hope wasn't a factor, is the possibility that the Vikings took a WR in the first because they are concerned they won't be able to hang onto JJ Jefferson.

That was my first thought.....but I think they sign him almost 100%
