Because outside of one season his defenses haven't been that good, or at least not good enough to overcome that he's on the older side while not having already been a HC before. I get that there is more to being a HC than that but it makes sense why he's not this widely talked about candidate. He isn't really the kind of coach teams are going for nowadays.
