Obviously, he's not like Jimmy level bad at throwing deep (almost no one is), it's just not his bread and butter.

I find that very surprising given he apparently has one of the weakest arms in the league.

What really knocks my socks off is he only started 13 games and was 3rd.

Pittman is a stud and Alec Pierce is almost exclusively a deep threat robot. That said, Tucker, Meyers, Adams is already a better set up, not even including the TEs or RBs. Maybe he shines a bit. Geezy
Tre Tucker needs to be that deep threat for this offense to really go. Going to fun to see AOC and Gard Dog go at it! If AOC can process a little quicker and get the ball out sooner he may be someone. Didn’t have a terrible rookie year and his number last month of the season were pretty good

After this year, they will still have 2/3 years on their rookie deal. He could make a lot of sense too if he'll play here.

He isn't a great deep thrower but this is going to be a short (Bowers/Mayer/Laube) to intermediate (Adams/Meyers) offense. The good news is if he doesn't beat out AOC it's because AOC took a big leap forward. Both guys have something to prove so that should make a good QB room. Ryan Tannehill is still available as a FA and he is better than Minshew (even at this late stage of his career). I would prefer to have him as the elder statesman in the QB room over Minshew. Tannehill has proven he can win in this league if pressed into action and would be a better mentor to AOC in the process. Just an unforgivable blunder by our FO. Minshew has way more upside.
