Good post PR...thanks. I dont know this guy from Adam....but I liked his interaction skills. He's in it / on it as a position coach. Hopefully (if he's the guy) that'll translate. I think he can communicate with the players a whole lot better than Barry did.

Christian Parker possible staff options if he's allowed to make changes:

DL: Jerry Montgomery (Packers) or Nathaniel Willingham (Jets)
OLB: Bert Watts (Carolina) or Jamar Cain (Broncos)
ILB:  Kirk Olivadotti (Packers) or Wendel Davis (Packers) or Peter Hansen (Carolina)
Defensive backs:
Addison Lynch (Broncos)
Passing game coordinator: Ryan Downard (Packers)

Many of the coaches he knows are quality control coaches who are waiting for their first position coach gig. If he went that way it would leave us with a very inexperienced coaching staff. I think he will struggle to get position coaches to make lateral moves as their teams will block them.

He would have to lean on Pettine, Fangio, Evero, Josephs for recommendations but....

ONE, Pettine cannot help the enemy as he works for the Vikes.

TWO, Fangio and Evero will be in the process of building their own staffs, we would be getting the guys they don't want. Not great.

THREE, Josephs might help but he isn't a 3-4 guy, he got different coaching circles.

Of course LaFleur would help but we already got LaFleur's staff in place so I think it's far more likely Parker will end up keeping our current coaches. Parker already knows most of them anyway.

The fact that he isn't the son of the brother-in-law of someone in the league is a big plus for me. Also, I do not care which system he runs, what matters is the coordinator, not the system. Fangio's system worked for Fangio but not with Barry for a reason. If you made Fangio run a completely different scheme he'd still be a good coordinator.
