notthatbluestuff
Not overly enthused about this matchup but I remember being unhappy with Eagles/Patriots II and that turned out to be a great game. I just don't tend to get hyped about rematches. This one is even going to have the same uni colors as SB54 since Chiefs are the "home" team and get first dibs on jersey choice (unless they choose whites for some reason)! I guess the rosters are somewhat different; Purdy and CMC add some intrigue... Edited January 29 by notthatbluestuff
notthatbluestuff
Chiefs/49ers fans, what do you think of this year's teams versus 4 years ago? Seems like the 49ers are an improvement across the board from 2019 on offense, is that fair to say? Maybe worse on defense? Chiefs - much better defense than last time around; offense not as impressive on the face of it. How much does Matt Nagy as OC factor in versus the inferior (on paper) WR talent? I'll still go with Mahomes, even though I'm not sure that he can play in decent weather.

Overall the 49ers are better on offense but worst on defense compared to 2019....The chiefs are the opposite.Better on defense, worst on offense

WheatieMan
Chiefs defense will collapse. They are due for an atrocious game. Won't be a blow out, but a game where maybe Mahomes can keep them in it and even be ahead late, like the Pats in '17, but it will be the game that ultimately gets away, like the '21 AFC CG at home. Just can't see Kyle blowing it 3x here.

It would be 3 titles in a 5-year span from 2019-2023.

Bradshaw has 4 rings in 6 years. Still obviously incredible if he pulls it off.

The defense is more vulnerable but this time around the 49ers have 4 new massive game changers on offense- Trent Williams, CMC, Aiyuk Purdy.
