Towerbridge
If the 49ers can run the ball fairly effectively.....I think they win

So it will depend on Purdy outplaying Mahomes which is highly unlikely. If he does pull it of, well, history will be written. We saw Foles outplay Brady. It can happen. The Chiefs defense is better and I think Pacheco can run the ball very well. Its going to come down to if the Chiefs receivers step up like they have in these playoffs. If they do then thats going to be a huge difference. If they go back to dropping multiple balls especially in key situations then its going to be hard for Mahomes to lead them to a win with his receivers reverting back to how they was pretty much all of the regular season.

WheatieMan
San Fran will dominate the game offensively. 35-27 or something. Take the over. It’s possible Purdy has a nightmare debut, but I doubt it. If the 49ers can mount a semblance of a defense, they win by a TD at least.

They’ve been trying the whole “keep Mahomes on the sideline by running it thing” for years now, it doesn’t really work. He’s more likely to lose a shoot out than a running game/Defensive one.

HTTRDynasty
It will be close in the 4th quarter. The team with the superior QB will win the game. The Mahomes GOAT discussions will be had all summer.

We'll take this one, you guys get the next one But wouldn't the overall arc of the trilogy be most satisfying if you don't triumph over the big bad until the very end?

Dub_City30
49ers by like 4 something around 29-25 Purdy is much better than Jimmy G even though that KC defense is great.

We still haven't allowed more than 27 points in a game. Only allowed over 24 once. We've allowed 32 points in the second half in the last 8 games combined. 49ers scored 17 and 19 against the two defenses they faced on KC's level this year. San Fran can win, but you're going against strong evidence if you think it's because they're going to score at will.

Right There is honestly only one way to stop this from happening Tom Brady needs to come out of retirement, sign a one day contract with his hometown 49ers, and beat Mahomes MJ got his *** off the golf course to beat those aliens in Space Jam Brady can do the same
