NFL Draft Talk (Mainly Titans)

If he’s there at 38, I’d be racing to the podium to grab Cooper DeJean. With the right coach and system (which I believe we have in Dennard Wilson), I believe he could be an All Pro DB.

Teaming him with his fellow Hawkeye Amani Hooker, to go along with Sneed, Awuzie, McCreary with Chris Harris/Steve Jackson/Dennard Wilson coaching them.🤤

Yeah, any one of DeJean, Mitchell, or Newton being on the board would have me blowing a fuse if any other player went in front of them.  They have no business still being on the board.

Who's the guys you don't want? I'm scared Keon Coleman is going to be the pick.

LBs and OLs.  I like Coleman, so rest easy.

Some notes:

There is a growing feeling that Joe Alt will be picked before 7.

Titans like JC Lathum. Bill Callahan really has a thing for him.
Titans think highly of Junior Colson.
Malik Nabers is a favorite of Brian Callahan.
TJ Tampa is someone that Wilson likes.

Other guys with some favor in the draft room:
Dominck Puni
Matt Goncalves
Jacob Cowing

Andres Peat. Tyrus Bowers ,Kwon Alexander and Quandre Diggs have high chances of being post draft signings, depending on how the draft plays out.
Justin Simmons wants almost 11-12 million a year.

Junior Colson it is.

I consider getting anyone considered to be top 2 at their position at a position of need...not including ST...a win. I think getting a top talent at any position has more potential to be pro bowl/all pro and getting say the 9-11 rated WR or OT.

So I would be happy with either Cooper or Colson in the 2nd, same as getting DeJean who is probably the top safety.

i would’ve been sorely tempted by the raiders here, and i’m guessing we had an offer, but i can understand why they didn’t risk it if they loved latham that much. latham and fashanu were the only tackles i *really* wanted after alt, and they had to know that one of them would’ve gone to the jets and there would be a chance at getting jumped for the other. i did not want fuaga or fautanu at all.

having said that, would i have done that trade back and risked settling for mims? probably, tbh.

My personal wishlist, as things stand (not in order):

Brandon Dorlus

Austin Booker

Mekhi Wingo

Leonard Taylor III

Troy Franklin

Cedric Gray

Jamal Hill

TJ Tampa

DJ James

Dadrion Taylor-Demerson

Jaden Hicks

If we draft at least one of those players, I'd be happier.
