So a bit more continuity, but still turned over their entire OL and secondary. Yeah, that would basically be it. Trent Williams, Aiyuk, McKivitz, Kinlaw all came that offseason after. Wishnowsky was the punter for both and Ross Dwelley was on both teams. Also Jason Verrett was on IR for both runs, so shoutout to him lol. They went back to back twice, and beat teams like the Raiders, Cowboys, Vikings, and Dolphins in that decade. Those other teams could have very well been dynasties of their own if it wasn't for Pittsburgh standing in their way. roids

The Steelers had 2(and 3 overall appearances) with NE being there and lost to them in the 2001 and 2004 AFC title games. Again aside from names on paper I don’t see a real difference between the 70’s raiders and let’s say The colts from 2003-2009.

Why not 2013 when they went to the playoffs under Smith? Why not 2018 when they went past the first round finally with Mahomes? Strange groupings. They also have the 60s-80s Cowboys lumped together which only had Landry in common. They went from Meredith in 60's to Morton then STaubach in the 70's to Danny White in the 80's
lancerman
Total homer move, but the Patriots stopped the GSOT from being a multiple Super Bowl dynasty team and the LOB from doing so. So they have an all time offense and defense as a notch on their belt, then they went through Warner (MVP 01), Manning (MVP 03/04), Ryan (MVP 16) and Mahomes (MVP 18) on their way to 5 of their 6 Super Bowls. They also delayed the Chiefs dynasty by a year. Not to mention they went to 9 Super Bowls in an 18 year period.

Yeah, they definitely deserve a big consideration for the top spot...To go in the super bowl half the time for 18 years and be in the hunt so often(13 AFC title game in that span) is unbelievable! I can't remember, but I think if a team missed the playoffs more than once, it started or ended a dynasty grouping. 🤔

Danger
This is so hard to judge across all these eras, I think the simplest way to look at it would be, who outperformed their contemporaries the most?
