Championshiporbust
The 1994 Cowboys, 2016 Falcons, 2007 Patriots, 2001 Rams, etc. should be included. The Missing Rings[edit] "The Missing Rings" redirects here. For the video game, see The Missing Ring. A spinoff series, America's Game: The Missing Rings, debuted on September 18, 2008 and aired for five consecutive Thursdays after that, starting at 10 p.m. ET. In this series, the producers picked five very good teams that came close to winning it all but finished short of Super Bowl victories, and devoted an hour to each of them. The basic format of the show was the same. However, the theme song cut off abruptly before the show started, symbolizing the unfinished goals of the teams being profiled.[7] Eps Year Team Narrator Team Commentary Air Date 1 1981 San Diego Chargers Tom Selleck Dan Fouts, Hank Bauer, and Kellen Winslow September 18, 2008 2 1969 Minnesota Vikings Tom Selleck Jim Marshall, Joe Kapp and Bud Grant September 25, 2008 3 1990 Buffalo Bills Alec Baldwin Marv Levy, Jim Kelly, and Darryl Talley October 2, 2008 4 1988 Cincinnati Bengals Jeffrey Wright Boomer Esiason, Sam Wyche and Tim Krumrie October 9, 2008 5 1998 Minnesota Vikings James Gandolfini Dennis Green, Cris Carter, and John Randle October 16, 2008 America's Game: The Super Bowl Champions - Wikipedia

notthatbluestuff
2016 Falcons. Their ring is so close and so formed they feel they can touch it… but when they reach out they only grasp air.

CP3MVP
With the exception of the 07 Pats because of the uniqueness of that season, I don’t really believe in using teams whose core had already won a title.
AFlaccoSeagulls
Well, the 2014 Seahawks. They win that title we're talking about a team on the brink of a dynasty. Instead, they lose that title and it starts the implosion of the LOB and ultimately the team. WheatieMan
Really has to be a multiyear thing… I remember the Freezer Bowl Chargers when that aired. The 06’-‘09 Chargers is another good one. San Fran could be done from ‘12-‘13 or ‘19-‘23 really… same with Philli ‘01-‘08. Vikings in ‘98-‘00 is good as well. Couldn’t muster up any offense wasted a great defense. Offense was so bad it wasn’t even funny. There’s no way I could put the ravens over this years bills or Niners, who gave the chiefs a a run. They’ll be forgotten much like how the 19 ravens were. How do you lose at home breh with an elite defense? Literally the ravens Offense threw the game with those TOS. kawkahkawkah that was a raven being eaten by a American eagle.

lavar703
How are the 1983 Redskins not included anywhere in this? They lost two regular season games by a combined TWO points. "The Redskins' 541 points scored and +209 point differential was the best in the league, with the 541 points setting an NFL record at the time.[1] The 1983 Redskins also had a turnover margin of +43, an NFL record.[2] Washington was the first team since the merger to record more than 60 takeaways (61)."
