I didn’t care for this one after my first viewing. I just rewatched it on Netflix and I enjoyed it a lot.

Just watched it again last night myself same format. Still had the same issues, and I still think they're apparent and disheartening, but I found myself thinking it was a "good movie" more this time.

It's good.  You just walk away thinking it could have been so much better.

Really?  I didn't care for it in the theater, watched it on Netflix yesterday and thought it still sucked.

Same, I have rewatched it 7 times and (possibly) counting. Trying to figure out the reasoning behind the characters decisions, their situations, how it ties in to previous stories, how the story is handled, how the characters handle the story, the philosphy behind the obstacles, the villains, the decisions, and the biggest thing. The chemistry, how everything blends. That's what I focus on with movies like these. They focused on some things so much and completely forgot about the main objective of the series. It's like an Akira Toriyama masterpiece.

I watched it on Netflix yesterday and it’s okay. Still kinda bummed emo Luke went out in a lame way, but I liked Adam driver a lot before the new Star Wars movies so I’m more open than others. I’m totally fine with snoke not getting a backstory for the most part cause upon watching it again it’s apparent he’s only as powerful as he was to balance out the force since Luke was OP

I haven't re-watched it yet.  I'm giving it a good amount of time to let the complaints and criticisms soak in and then I'm going to give it a fair watch.  I feel like literally every single Luke Skywalker complaint is neglecting Luke Skywalker as a character and seeing him how people wanted to see him except for how he was.  Luke's character was the biggest reason I loved The Last Jedi so much.  It is the first movie that treated Luke's shortcomings as legitimate instead of endearing qualities.  I had never liked Luke.  Ever.  Ever, ever, ever.  The Last Jedi made me absolutely love him because he finally grew up and became a BAMF JEDI.  In all the other movies, he was pretending.  By the end of this one, he went legit how a Jedi is supposed to be and became a ****ing legend.

I truly believe that 20 years from now, Luke's "Battle" with Kylo will go down as an iconic movie moment.  I understand almost all of the complaints, but I simply do not agree with any of them except for the Casino scene being a little indulgent and pointless and Leia's force pull back to the ship.

Guess they have to replace Holdo with another female lead because no man can succeed without being told what to do by a strong woman in charge. Really hope that's not the case. But I think it will be.

What a stupid thing to complain about. Even if she is a woman in a command role, who cares? It doesnt matter at all what role she plays because she is good at what she does.

It's not about that, it's about the preaching.  Terminator 2 wasn't preaching female empowerment, it just had a great female character.  Alien and Aliens didn't preach female empowerment, they just had a badass female character.  Being preachy about it just takes all the piss out of everything.  The original trilogy kept it good versus evil and is one of the greatest, most flawless fantasy stories ever told.  If there's one complaint I have about the new Star Wars, it's that it's so damn preachy it's a turnoff.

Her role doesn't matter, but if she's built up to be a female empowerment figure in a series literally with a female lead who is preached up as a strong female figure in a series that has perhaps the most iconic female hero of all film (Leia), it deserves ridicule.

Oh sweet, would be nice to see Keri in star wars. I'd assume as the reinforcements leader or something.
