The Gnat
1.1 Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams QB, USC 1.2 Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU 1.3 New England Patriots: OTC We're onto the next one.
SemperFeist
The Patriots need talent, and since we aren’t doing trades, I went with the most talented player in the draft, Marvin Harrison Jr. New England could, and should, go the route that Cincinnati did in 2011.
swede700
I went with the first surprise and had them taking Alt to help build their OL before they address the QB position (which I do think they'll do later). While I certainly could see them drafting Harrison, I just think with a defensive guy at the top and a Packer-raised guy as the defacto GM, they'll want to build the offensive line first.
vike daddy
i went with Maye as they do need talent at many positions but it starts with QB and that gives Maye more time to develop as they build their team.
PrplChilPill
When you are in position to draft a legit QB, do it.

This is a very valid point IMO. For this reason I also went with Alt. In reality I am on team trade down for the Patriots.

I do generally agree with what PCP says in that when you're in position to take an elite QB you do it, however I also don't think you should just take one to take one when the talent around them is setting them up for failure, no matter how "elite" they may seem to be at the time. If the Patriots had a better offensive line or good skill position players, I'd be all for them taking the QB, but they are so far away from having them, that their priority should be to take one of those other things first before putting a rookie QB in the position to have to be the savior. Doesn't mean they won't still take the elite talent at QB, but then they better damn well have faith that they can get those OT or WRs later. From what I understand, it's a pretty good class at the top for OTs, but I just don't know how much they fall off after those 6-7 OTs at the top. I could theoretically be persuaded to not take QB, if the GM and coach and owner all agreed we could deal most of 2025 picks for a QB if needed...... If NE passes on a QB, then I trade back and consider one of the elite TEs or OL at 11 (or wherever they drop to) and then OL at 23. They could get two elite OL that way, and then load up on WR and DL types (which, let's be honest, a rookie QB's third best friend is a D that is good, so they aren't always playing from behind).

SteelKing728
They take Maye and let Brissett take the beating for most of the year. They lack so much talent but likely won't be picking #3 again so they get their QB.
gopherwrestler
Realistically they really need talent. But they could also take their QB and just let him sit. Probably start with the best draft pick and start acquiring assets that way.
vikesfan89
Vikings take Drake Maye
The Gnat
It's close, but no tie, so Drake Maye is the choice. @vikesfan89 - that'd be ideal, but it's tricky to do trades, so I've never done them.

I'll do that when it's not a blowout, I think (if I did my math right) I need to double up sometimes or it won't be done on time. Unless @VikeManDan you want to post over the weekends.
