I'm 95% sure (absent injury) this will be the starting 5. Morgan won't be ready to unseat Walker.

A lot of times teams kick those guys inside in year 1.

Is Walker good?

Walker has been solid and only improved. Lower draft pedigree but that doesn’t matter if you can play. He’s going to have to compete for his job with a first rounder looming but I won’t be upset if he’s the starting LT. I also won’t be mad if eventually someone outplays him and grabs the spot to take it up another level. This time of the year is to get all of that figured out and prepare for contingencies of injury. I trust our coaches to get a quality 5 out there for week one.

Don't forget that going into his last year people were projecting him as a day 2 pick.

The Packers may not have an established No. 1 receiver -- and they may not need one with all the young talent at that spot -- but if there's a most reliable among that group, it might be third-year pro Romeo Doubs. If anyone had one foot out the door Wednesday before the final practice of the offseason, Doubs wasn't one of them. The highlight of his day came when he snagged a deep stop route over the middle, made a quick cut and turned up the field.

"We challenged him on a couple things we thought he could really do a better job of with, and just continuing to stress the importance of opening up his stride and he's embraced that," Packers coach Matt LaFleur said. "And I think you've seen that and I think he's had a lot of great moments. Matter of fact, I can't think of a bad day that he's had out there. He just, he is definitely improving."

Walker has an elite pass blocking ceiling which he showed last year when he graded elite in the 2nd half of the season. Time will tell if he can build off that and be consistent, however.

We (fans) don't really know what type of pro/person he'll be yet. Will the competition from Morgan bring out his best or worst? TBD

One thing for certain, no one is going to beat him with the hump move. He wrote the damn book on that one.

Josh Jacobs is not at today’s second minicamp practice. An excused absence for the #Packard running back. He participated yesterday and has been in Green Bay throughout offseason program.

Team drills upcoming.

Starters

Walker - Jenkins - Myers - Rhyan - Dillard

Gary - Wyatt - Slaton - Smith
Walker - McDuffie
Valentine - Ballentine - Stoked
Williams - Bullard

Wes Hodkiewicz
@WesHod

Wilson blitz off strong side and Love lobs a ball to sideline, which Wicks SOARS to bring down and touch toes inbounds for a nice completion

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

Caleb Jones just blocked Jonathan Ford right to the ground. A battle of behemoths and Jones won that round.

Meanwhile Edgerrin Cooper with a potential “sack” of Clifford but more of a coverage sack if anything.

Nice little inside run by Emanuel Wilson.

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

Peter Bowden the first long snapper up with Podlesney kicking. Orzech comes in for Joseph. I have no idea if these kicks are good or not. No nets and an impossible angle to see. Orzech stays in for Carlson. The consensus seems to be that all 3 kickers went 2/2, 6/6 overall.

@AndyHermanNFL

Love to Bo Melton. Melton went and got it low with Vallentine in extremely tight and fantastic coverage. Good play all around.

Rashan Gary just absolutely smoked Dillard. Dillard on the ground.

Love to Watson over the middle, complete but Evan Williams would have had him dead

Ryan Wood
@ByRyanWood

Christian Watson beats Carrington Valentine to middle of field on in cut a couple reps later, good separation, and Jordan Love doesn’t miss. Sharp start to team period for QB1 today.

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

MarShawn Lloyd with a sick one handed catch on a screen pass that goes for around 20. Lloyd caught it and just immediately burst right past Slaton. Nice play by 32.

Love to Doubs for a nice pickup. Sapp right there to make a play but the ball beats him. Nice play from 10 to 87.

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

Arron Mosby just beat Jordan Morgan clean for a would be sack of Clifford.

Morgan follows it up with a false start.

It’s been a tough start to OTA’s and minicamp for Morgan.

Rochell with a fantastic pick of Clifford. Clifford’s 4th pick of minicamp.

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

Clifford throws a deep wobbler to DuBose. Incomplete but maybe some DPI. Evan Williams with some pressure off a blitz.

Lecitus Smith with a low snap to Pratt who does a nice job handling it and completing short over the middle.

Pratt high and behind Toure who can’t hang on.

Ryan Wood
@ByRyanWood

Jordan Love to Christian Watson, middle
Love to Malik Heath, slant
Love to Luke Musgrave, screen
Love to Romeo Doubs, slant

Nine straight completions before finally tossing one incomplete to Heath, though Corey Ballentine would’ve had a sack. Still.

Jordan Love is having a day.

Move the ball period.

Love to Watson over the middle for a nice pickup.

Dillon run outside. Eric Wilson all over it. Wilson’s received more time at LB and for the most part he’s delivered.

Brenton Cox and Karl Brooks all over an inside run to Dillon.

Love to Heath on a slant for a first down. Quay lined up on the edge that play with Preston inside.

Play action TE screen to Musgrave for about 6 (would have went for more in a game).

Doubs finds a hole in the defense and Love finds him. Offense cutting through the defense atm.

Love to Heath incomplete. Ballentine with a would be sack off the edge.

Love to Wicks in the flat. Short gain.

Lloyd for about 4 but that was the first time he tried to get to fancy. Tried to make one too many cuts and fell down. Should have been a bigger run.

Love to Reed for a first down on 3rd. Nice play to get separation by Jayden.

They end the drive there.

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

Deslin Alexander beats Luke Tenuta for a would be sack on Clifford.

Clifford fires downfield it nobody there. Been a tough couple days for the 2’s on offense.

Keshawn Banks comes crashing in for a would be sack of Pratt.

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

Two minute drill. 1:18 remaining. 1 timeout. First and 10. Ball at own 25. Down 20-18.

1’s up first.

Love deep to Doubs on first. Overthrown by about 5 yards. Solid coverage from Valentine. Doubs would have had a chance if it was on him.

Love over the middle to Wicks. Behind him and nearly picked on a diving INT attempt by Quay. Ball falls incomplete.

Love fires complete to Reed for a first down over the middle. Clock ticks.

Love to Musgrave for about 14 on a deep out. Also got OOB. McDuffie couldn’t stick with him.

41 seconds left. Ball on 39. First down. Still have the timeout

Ball batted down at the LOS.

Love escapes pressure and scrambles for 7. Timeout. 3rd & 3 upcoming. 33 seconds left. No timeouts left. Ball on 32.

Love complete to Doubs for a first in front of Evan Williams. First down. Clock ticks.

Clocked ball.

2nd down. Ball on 21. 21 seconds left. No timeouts.

Illegal formation on the offense. Moved the ball back to the 26.

False start on the offense. Moved back to the 31. Offense imploding here a bit.

Lloyd inside handoff to the 25. Another false start on the offense. Back to the 30. Under 10 seconds clock should have been nuked and defense should have won but they allow a clock of the ball and a Podlesney kick “wins it.”

Extremely sloppy for the offense at the end. No matter the simulated outcome id call that an L for the offense.

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

2’s up next. Same situation.

Clifford to Stanley complete for about 6. Out of bounds.

Clifford sacked. Couldn’t see by who. Timeout offense.

Jonathan Ford bats down the ball at the line.

4th and 9 upcoming.

Hafley brings aggressive pressure. Clifford runs away from Cooper and completes the pass but short of the marker. Defense wins.

Ryan Wood
@ByRyanWood

Jordan Love had one bad throw. Behind Dontayvion Wicks on slant. Quay Walker should’ve picked it from trail coverage, but dropped it.

Love then engineered 2-minute drill to get in range for winning fg from 49 yards. Completed 3-6 for 47 yards.

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

3’s up next. Same situation.

Pratt to Heath. First down and OOB.

Pratt to Heath on a slant. Dropped. Not the worst thing. Would have been a short gain and clock would have run.

Pratt to Pearson on a checkdown. Clock runs.

Pratt to Wilson in the flat. Loss of yards and clock runs. Timeout. 4th & 5 upcoming.

Pratt to DuBose maybe complete. Impossible to tell. Offense gets the first down.

Hard count leads to a false start on the offense.

1st and 15. 40 seconds left. No timeouts.

Pratt checkdown to Merriweather. 3 yards. Clock ticks.

Pratt fires a seed downfield into a hole between Rochell and Sapp. Ball gets to Melton but Melton can’t come up with it and it falls incomplete. Rochell stays down after the play. Yes definitely shook up but walks off on his wk power. Packers move to final fg period with loud music.

Andy Herman
@AndyHermanNFL

Final kicking period with loud music and crazy teammates all around them.

Podlesney - Wide left.

Joseph - good!

Carlson - good!

Podlesney - good!

Joseph - good!

Carlson - good!

That does it for day 2 of minicamp! Next open practice will be the first day of training camp!

Terrific.

I think they've been bouncing him all over the place. Wonder if they'll do less of that come training camp.
