Leader
PackersWire: The Green Bay Packers scored a season-high 27 points and improved to 3-0 on Sunday against the Denver Broncos, but four targets for receiver Davante Adams probably isn’t going to cut it long term. Rodgers completed all four of his passes to Adams for 56 yards. Three of the four completions were in the first half, but Rodgers had just one completion to Adams in the second half, a 14-yard connection in the fourth quarter. The Packers quarterback wants more. “Four targets for Davante is obviously not enough, especially on a day like today when there was a lot of soft coverage and some stuff to be hit outside. We’ve got to keep finding ways to get him the ball more often,” Rodgers said after Sunday's win. Through three games, Adams has 15 catches on 21 targets for 198 yards and no touchdowns. He’s on pace for 80 catches, 112 targets and 1,056 receiving yards, well short of his 111 catches, 169 targets and 1,386 receiving yards from a season ago. craig
heh heh, after every game, Rodgers is saying we've got to the ball to X more often. Last week, he said it about MVS and Graham, got to get those guys going. This week it's ADams. He got some MVS targets this week. You can see that Allison has not been on that "got to get X going" list.... yet. *IF* Rodgers completed more of the passes that he does throw, he'd be able to get more guys more targets and get them going. But hard to get lots of guys lots of targets when you're not converting on 3rd down, and not running many plays, and so many of the plays you do run you're running! craig
With all of the concerns with the Packers offense, one thing that's really clicked thus far has been red zone. Only 3 scores versus Minne, but all three were 7's, not 3's. Yesterday they didn't move the ball much, but the first three times in red, they scored TD's each time. That may be unsustainable and maybe kinda lucky, beats me. But perhaps the amount of time they spent on red zone in camp, maybe some of that is paying off? Hope they can keep that rolling. Though then again that should be Tae more often than not.

Coach speak. He can't stand up there and say "Jimmy sucks."
