He is athletic, has the measurables, 6'4", 251lb, 34 5/8/" arms, runs a 4.53 40, while his jumps reinforce his knee strength now (39.5", high jump, 10ft 4" long = 124"). He no longer wears the knee brace that he had on for his college career. One of his biggest knocks was that he was slow out of his stance - that matters much less at OLB than DE. There is a whole lot to work with here. On NFL.com, his grade puts him at #137, right between the Packers comp 4th pick and their 5th (first pick in round 5), but I think he could be a bargain at the top of round four (Packers pick there at #101). I want to go Landry/LVE/James in rd1 and Sweat in rd2.

Ramsey looks like the closest I can think of. I don't think Ramsey has that same ball skills, but he's damn good.

I think it'd have to be one of those situation where the board is obliterated, the Packers move down into that 18-22 range and then take him. Gopackgonerd
Not a huge fan taking a ILB at 14, Martinez made me feel better about that position the way he played last year. Ryan is a fine player next to him. Plus you can play Jones as a ILB in packages.

However I don't think the board has to be even close to "obliterated" for Ward, Davenport and James to be gone. I think that's better than a 50% chance. Yes - I suspect this is true - HOWEVER - if we all join together and hit up the other teams message boards with a HEAVY, CONCENTRATED AND CONSISTENT DOSE of misinformation about Edmunds......we might change the teams selection!!!!!! Ya think?

Out of those names above, I'd put Davenport at the top of the list for biggest "bust" potential. I think Ward, James and LVE are plug-and-play starters from day 1 and Landry is a plug-and-play pass rush specialist from day 1. I'd rank those guys 1. James, 2a. Ward, 2b. Landry, 4. LVE, 5. Davenport.
