We should be taking chances on younger guys who might actually be able to play 3 downs. Not only do we waste the $ - we waste the PT on a guy with no chance of improving his play. Total lateral move...that's costing us $ we didn't need to spend. Getting a 2-down thumper is about the easiest position to fill. For 5M? Oh man, this is beyond bad. This team's FO is a disaster. Also, Keenum's deal is for 2 years/$36MM, all $36MM guaranteed for injury, $25MM otherwise. Doesn't necessarily sound like we're going QB. Eh, not necessarily. Brock is only a one year signing. If they sign someone to a longer deal, then I could see that being problematic.
