Taylor Heinicke has been cleared to return from COVID-19, according to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post. That means Heinicke will be good to go on Sunday night, when Washington plays at Dallas.

Might be a little too late for Washington. Would have been nice if they could have won last week since they weren’t likely to beat Dallas anyway.

Free agent cornerback Bashaud Breeland hasn’t signed with the Cardinals just yet. Breeland flew to Arizona with the intention of signing but tested positive for COVID-19 when he arrived, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The Cardinals are still planning to sign Breeland, but only when he clears COVID-19 protocols. It’s also still possible Breeland could change his mind and sign with another team. He reportedly generated interest from other teams after the Vikings cut him.

Waynes started Cincinnati’s Week 15 win over Denver and was active for the club’s victory over Baltimore last week. He has eight total tackles in four games this season.

He didn’t play at all for them last year either.

It was New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2012.

With just over five minutes remaining in the third quarter of Minnesota's 2011 regular-season finale with Chicago, Jared Allen notched his third-and-a-half sack of the contest. The takedown effectively set a new Vikings single-season record, surpassing Chris Doleman's 21 sacks recorded in 1989.

Kevin Williams: "We had all types of guys there, and Jared kind of was the wild card guy that would say anything and kind of do anything. But he also was a good leader in the fact that he showed up every day, he gave it a hundred percent, and he was a great teammate. He kind of got a reputation of being a 'bad guy' when he was in Kansas City … but Jared was a great person, great heart, and once you get to know him, he'll do anything for you."

Reminds me that its my ten year anniversary when I left that cesspool known as San Francisco. Go north and it’s beautiful.

Atlanta’s Cordarrelle Patterson has been one of the NFL’s most versatile players this season, with 607 rushing yards, 547 receiving yards and 434 kickoff return yards. But with one game to go, Patterson has more he wants to do.

Specifically, Patterson wrote on Twitter that he wants defensive coordinator Dean Pees to let him play free safety on Sunday. Patterson has played two snaps on defense this season, and the Falcons’ official depth chart has listed Patterson as a backup safety. But Patterson sounds like he wants to get real, significant playing time and show what he can do.

Patterson is such a breath of fresh air in the NFL. I wish the Vikings would have had the foresight to use him as the Falcons have.

Well, the Falcons have one thing the other teams don't...the experience of knowing what other teams have done and failed at with him.  He also isn't exactly the easiest player to handle, not because of his personality (as he's a really good kid), but because he does lots of things, but he's not really especially elite at single thing (outside of KR).
