buno67
Nolan Jones was watching last nights game from a parking garage. I wish they could call him up

malibuspeedrace
Both are roadblocked though. Jose cesar and lindor don’t take off days. So they would only be fighting over DH
malibuspeedrace
We need OF help... infield is set until Lindor bolts for a paycheck

He has been good but that would have meant JRam plays 2B, Nolan at 3B, and at least a competent bat in the OF

Its not like he was demanding a 5 year 200m deal. He signed with the Astros for 2yr/32mil. Decent money, but not something the Indians couldnt afford.

I know people hater the Kluber deal, but if there’s a pitcher the Indians like, you’ve gotta trust them. Emmanuel Clase could have untapped potential. Heres the problem, they traded away 2 top 20 pitchers in baseball and got back the only notable Franmil Reyes in return. If your going to do that you have to get back more bats in return considering the Indians have a All-Star pitching pipeline. Sign a slightly above average player for cheap who fits in the system well and watch him flourish. They tried to do the same with DeSheilds but IDK if that is going to work out as well as Cesar. Desheilds is basically a slightly better hitting version of Greg Allen.
candyman93
Civale is doing a great job against a really tough Minnesota offense.
sdrawkcab321
This offense needs another bat so bad. They can’t hit good teams.

Which is why they are getting a steady diet of them. As a team, dumbest group of hitters in MLB.
candyman93
Civale has only had a rough outing against the Tigers once. He’s held the Twins to only 3 runs twice. That’s really impressive. Too bad both times his offense didn’t do squat.
bruceb
Random thoughts: 1. Where is the leadership on this team? Why hasn't a player stepped forward, called a players only meeting and told them to get there HOOYAs? 2. Why is Ramirez in the 2 hole? Lindor and Santana are showing some signs of life. But Ramirez is not setting the table, which is his job. Why hasn't he been pushed into no higher than the 6 hole, moving Naquin or DeShields into the 2 hole? Or why don't they sit him down and give Nolan Jones a shot? Jones certainly could not do worse than what Ramirez is doing.

Ramirez has hit better than both Lindor and Santana over the course of the year. In 2020 the 2 spot is actually supposed to be your best hitter, not a table setter. Putting DeShields there would be analytically idiotic.
