Random thoughts:

1. Where is the leadership on this team? Why hasn't a player stepped forward, called a players only meeting and told them to get there HOOYAs?

2. Why is Ramirez in the 2 hole? Lindor and Santana are showing some signs of life. But Ramirez is not setting the table, which is his job. Why hasn't he been pushed into no higher than the 6 hole, moving Naquin or DeShields into the 2 hole? Or why don't they sit him down and give Nolan Jones a shot? Jones certainly could not do worse than what Ramirez is doing.

You really want to sit down Jose Ramirez.......

the Indians are 17-12 and are 7-3 in their last 10 games? Why is there a need for a players only meeting? Why is that considered the only thing a leader can do?

Because we are one of the worse offenses in MLB and it is due primarily to the players having stupid approaches at the plate.

2 runs or less in 14 of our 29 games.

Pathetic.

Unacceptable.

Alright, this isn't the mid 90s team. We aren't loaded from top to bottom. We were in the world series in 2016 strictly because of pitching and timely hitting. Nothing more. The offense in the MLB is at an all time low imo unless you have a true stud. I would bet paychecks on Lindor being frustrated about money. But we are 7 games over 500 and still plenty of baseball left to be played. Relax.

But what’s a players only meeting going to do? The problem is, we don’t have the players to get the job done. Unless we are aggressive in the trade market, the offensive problems aren’t getting solved.

Our starting pitching is more than capable of keeping the Twins offense in check. Bieber carved them up pretty good all night.

We just have to figure out how to score against them and everyone else.

Really impressive pitching in the Twins series.

Gave up no more than 3 runs in any of the games.

Agreed. This series showed how good our pitching staff is. I don’t think any of the starters came to with their best stuff, and we still held arguably the best offense in the league to 3 runs or less each game. But a series like this shows why there’s no way we can trade Clev.

But this series also proves that we need to find a way to get 1-2 more bats in the outfield. The top of the lineup is under sooooo much pressure to carry the offense. You see a night like tonight where a little help from the bottom makes everything easier (obviously).

But finding a way to find two impact bats, at an affordable price is challenging, there’s no doubt about that. The Indians are going to have to figure out 1 of 2 things. Are we willing to sacrifice some prospects and take a chance on guys with 2-3 years control? Or are we accepting that winning is not important as long term financial success? If the Indians had the capability to even be amount the middle of the pack in terms of payroll, there’s no doubt we would be in contention year in and year out with the way this organization is so well run by Dolan, Antonetti & Co.

I really wish they try and get Frazier from the Yankees. Yankees have a surplus of outfielders and he is the odd man out. He is under control until ‘25. His time in the majors, he has been pretty good and would love to see him get the chance to play every day. Best bonus is he already knows everyone in the organization so it be no learning curve on him. Wish we would have given them Zimmer instead back in ‘16
