2017 Draft Grades - Only one year out, B is the average.

1.1 - Myles Garrett - A+ - Garrett had very nice numbers last year fighting through injury and has been an even more consistent threat this year.  He looks to be a top 5 edge threat for a long time.
1.2 - Solomon Thomas - C - He has shown very little, and got benched for lesser talents.
1.3 - Jamal Adams - A- - A leader of the Jets D from day one, he will soon prove to be a match up proof safety.
1.4 - Marshon Lattimore - A- - An A grade after last year when he won DROY, he drops a small bit due to early struggles this year.
1.5 - Leonard Fournette - B+ - This grade would be higher if Fournette could stay healthy.
1.6 - Rueben Foster - C+ - He has shown flashes on the field, but his off field issues are very concerning.
1.7 - Dalvin Cook - B - Exact same thoughts as Fournette, but Cook has shown less.
1.8 - Jonathan Allen - B - Injuries last year, but I loved him in the draft and he has been a very good player inside this year.  Tons of reps too.
1.9 - Malik Hooker - B - Same as Allen.  Just need consistency to go up.
1.10 - OJ Howard - B+ - Okay rookie year, and was off to a great start before being hurt this year.  Being surrounded by a ton of offensive talent keeps him from showing off more than he could elsewhere.
1.11 - Christian McCaffrey - A- - Bit of a gadget player last year, he is showing he is fully capable of being a 3 down, grind it out RB.
1.12 - John Ross - C- - Injuries last year, hurt this year, minimal flashes of talent…but there should be a fair bit of concern.

1.13 - Ryan Ramczyk - A- - He’s been at RT for the Saints and no one has heard much since then.  That’s a good sign.  He’s a real good run blocker too.
1.14 - Mike Williams - B+ - Would have been a much lower grade a couple weeks ago, but Mike has made big leaps this year.
1.15 - David Njoku - B - He has shown he is every bit the athlete we thought, he just needs to be consistent with his QB which should come with time.  He could be a more physical blocker as well.
1.16 - Derek Barnett - A- - He doesn’t get the numbers he could due to the rotation he plays in.  But he looks like a very nice, consistent 2nd rusher for any BDL team for a long time.
2.1 - Haason Reddick - D - Benched this year and largely ineffective behind Josh Bynes who is not good either.
2.2 - Corey Davis - B - Flashes of dominance and periods of nothing.  As you would expect.
2.3 - Gareon Conley - B - Same as the above pick.  He has been better than expected this year.
2.4 - Forrest Lamp - D - Two surgeries on the same knee in a year before ever taking a snap.  I hope he bounces back.  Still hasn’t played.
2.5 - Marlon Humphrey - A - Solid last year, better this year.  Great choice.
2.6 - Taco Charlton - C+ - Not a good rookie year, but he seems to be growing up.
2.7 - Zach Cunningham - B- - Had a decent rookie year, but had a number of issues in coverage.  Needs to be more consistent there.
2.8 - Kevin King - C - GB drafted to CBs last year and King has struggled.  He needs help IRL, much less in BDL.
2.9 - Mitch Trubisky - A - He’s under a functional HC and I think makes a big step forward.  And he is on one of the most talented rosters in the NFL.
2.10 - Garrett Bolles - D - I have never seen him not look bad.  Gives up sacks and pressures like it’s Halloween.
2.11 - DeShone Kizer - F- - No explanation needed.
2.12 - Cam Robinson - B - Very good rookie year, thought he would take that step this year…and then he tore his knee up.  This grade goes up assuming he comes back at 100%.
2.13 - Jabrill Peppers - C - Not bad, not great, he has shown more as a returner than as a safety.  I want more from him.
2.14 - Malik McDowell - Millen - Pulling a Walter grade here, this is sad all around.
2.15 - Evan Engram - A - One of the better rookie seasons we have seen from a TE, only injury and Eli can slow him down.  He looks like what Hernandez could have been.
2.16 - Obi Melifonwu - Millen - He has been just awful.
3.1 - Jarrad Davis - C+ - He’s been okay, but has had some periods of pure incompetence.  He should be better in coverage for as athletic as he is.
3.2 - TJ Watt - A - The best pass rusher the Steelers have had since they let Harrison go, he looks like he will be a force for a long time.
3.3 - Tre’Davious White - A- - He was a stud last year as a rookie, he hasn’t been quite as good this year, but still a very nice pick.
3.4 - Dan Feeney - C+ - I loved him coming out, but he has been not very good this year.
3.5 -  Budda Baker - A- - He has filled multiple roles and done well in all of them.
3.6 - Charles Harris - C- - He has been largely invisible, which is concerning considering he plays on with a pretty good DL.
3.7 - Tim Williams - C+ - Has shown flashes, but I don’t think he ever becomes more than a 3rd rusher.
3.8 - Joe Mixon - A- - Struggled last year behind an awful OL, and hurt this year…but when he has been healthy this year, he has looked so very good.
3.9 - Sidney Jones - C+ - Darby has been very good, but Mills has been awful in Philly.  Why isn’t Jones getting a look?

3.10 - Curtis Samuel - C - He’s been meh.
3.11 - Adoree Jackson - A - Part of one of the better secondaries in the NFL, he has stepped up this year and looks like a steal this late.
3.12 - Deshaun Watson - B - Would be an A based on last year and a C based on this year.  He and Fuller have a scary good connection though.  I think he bounces back.
3.13 - Takk McKinley - A- - He has flashed legit pass rushing potential.  He also has a crazy intense drive.  I love him.  He just needs work against the run.
3.14 - Quincy Wilson - C+ - Struggled more than a bit as a rookie and in concussion protocol this year.
3.15 - Chidobe Awuzie - C - He’s been a starter, but he has been pretty bad this year.
3.16 - Marcus Williams - B+ - He’ll be forever infamous for the Minny Miracle, but he is much better than that.
4.1 - Chris Wormley - B - He’s been effective in the Ravens’ rotation, but not a starter yet.
4.2 - Duke Riley - C - Flashed as a rookie, but he’s been pretty bad this year.
4.3 - Dion Dawkins - A- - He’s been a solid LT on a team with a very bad overall OL.
4.4 - Carlos Watkins - C- - He got a number of snaps last year due to injury, but has been inactive this year.
4.5 - Desmond King - B+ - He plays a number of roles quite well, but isn’t a stud at any.
4.6 - Derek Rivers - C+ - ACL last year, not much this year.
4.7 - Tyus Bowser - C - Largely invisible as far as I can tell.
4.8 - Pat Elflein - B+ - He has been a plus on a struggling OL when he has played, aside from the Rams game where he was very not good.
4.9 - Josh Reynolds - C- - He’s been essentially nonexistent behind 3 very good WRs.
4.10 - Fabian Moreau - C+ - He has been in the slot all year for the Skins and been okay, but not exactly a shutdown option.
4.11 - Ethan Pocic - C - He has shown promise, but the Seattle OL has been much better the past couple weeks when Sweezy has played LG in his place.
4.12 - Alvin Kamara - A+ - No explanation needed.
4.13 - Dawuane Smoot - D - Looks like nothing more than a rotational DE at best.
4.14 - Caleb Brantley - D - He’s been inactive for the Skins this year.  I like him coming out too.
4.15 - Zay Jones - C - Unimpressive numbers in a sad Bills offense, plus concerns over going bonkers in the offseason.
4.16 - Patrick Mahomes - A+ - Once again, no explanation needed.
5.1 - Jordan Willis - C+ - Very solid rookie year, but invisible this year.
5.2 - Cooper Kupp - A - Great #2, and a guy who can beat a number of CBs.
5.3 - Chris Godwin - A- - He has flashed legit potential, and is only held back by Evans and DJax in front of him.
5.4 - Taylor Moton - A - Has been moved all around, but has been a stud at RT this year with Williams out.
5.5 - Raekwon McMillan - C+ - Looked good before he got hurt last year, he has been a bit lost this year.
5.6 - Antonio Garcia - F - Currently a FA.
5.7 - Carl Lawson - C+ - Like Willis, he had a solid rookie year, but has not been a good this year.
5.8 - Cordrea Tankersley - C - He has been sat down for the Dolphins, but may get back to being a starter.
5.9 - Jalon Tabor - C - Same as Cordrea, he was benched after issues earlier in the year.
5.10 - D’Onta Foreman - C - Had some decent flashes, but an Achilles is never good.
5.11 - Dorian Johnson - C- - On the Panthers practice squad.
5.12 - Carlos Henderson - F - Cut from the Broncos practice squad.
5.13 - Tarell Basham - F - Waived by the Colts.
5.14 - Juju Smith-Schuster - A+ - He has been just great, even considering he plays across from AB.
5.15 - Ahkello Witherspoon - C - Was replaced in the loss to the Chargers.
5.16 - Justin Evans - C+ - His biggest moment recently was letting Burton burn him for a TD.
6.1 - Montravius Adams - C - Largely invisible, he has a chance to show more due to injuries.
6.2 - Josh Jones - C+ - As a Packers fan, meh so far.
6.3 - Dalvin Tomlinson - A- - Very underrated imo, he is a quickly becoming a BDL caliber starter.
6.4 - Adam Shaheen - C- - Okay as a rookie, hurt this year, but a ton of physical talent.
6.5 - Demarcus Walker - C+ - I don’t think he has dressed this year after predictions of a breakout 2nd year.
6.6 - Ryan Anderson - C - He’s been more effective as a fullback this year.
6.7 - Jourdan Lewis - C+ - He was solid last year, but with a new position coach, he has only played 2 snaps on D all year.
6.8 - Tanoh Kpassagnon - C+ - Limited playing time, but so much athletic ability.
6.9 - Alex Anzalone - C - Okay when healthy, but that’s not very often.
6.10 - Taywan Taylor - A- - Becoming a bigger part of the Titans offense, he could be a very nice 2nd or 3rd BDL WR.
6.11 - Roderick Johnson - F - Cut by the Texans.
6.12 - John Johnson - A- - Looks to be a very good SS.  Not someone you want covering deep, but very good at what he is asked to do.
6.13 - Gerald Everett - C+ - He’s playing behind Tyler Higbee.  Meh.
6.14 - Nico Siracusa - D - On the practice squad.
6.15 - Kareem Hunt - A+ - No explanation needed.
6.16 - Malachi Dupri - D - On the Texans practice squad.
7.1 - George Kittle - A - He has shown much more explosive ability than thought coming out, and is a very good blocker.  First of four great 7th rounders.
7.2 - Howard Wilson - F - Two knee injuries in two years
7.3 - Bucky Hodges - F - Can’t even stay on a roster despite his athletic ability.
7.4 - Aviante Collins - D+ - Was playing, but on IR.
7.5 - Isaac Asiata - D - On the Dolphins practice squad.
7.6 - Jake Butt - D - Redshirt rookie year, flashed..then another knee injury.
7.7 - Larry Ogunjobi - A+ - 2nd of 4 great 7th rounders, he fully deserves to be a BDL starter.
7.8 - Jordan Leggett - D+ - Despite the Jets having nothing at TE, he hasn’t stepped up.
7.9 - Samaje Perine - C- - Rotational back at best.
7.10 - Eddie Jackson - A - Another of 4 great 7th rounders, he has been great for Chicago since day 1.
7.11 - Dede Westbrook - B - He’s flashed at times, but subpar RL QB play hurts.
7.12 - Nathan Peterman - D+ - RL backup at best.
7.13 - Chad Hansen - D - Just added to the Titans practice squad.
7.14 - Davis Webb - D - Never more than a RL backup.
7.15 - Jonnu Smith - C+ - He will have every opportunity to shine with Delanie out, but hasn’t yet.
7.16 - Marcus Maye - A- -The last of great 7th rounders assuming he comes back as good as last year.
Standout PFAs
James Connor - A - He has looked solid taking over for Bell, but it’s obvious that he is not as good as Bell.  Still a good BDL 2nd RB.
Shaq Griffin - A - He’s been very good for Seattle and should have gone much, much higher.
Kenny Golladay - A - He has size, speed, and great hands.  He seems to be the #2 this year in Detroit surpassing Marvin Jones.  And he makes me happy.

Way too early grades for our draft last year.  Feel free to say why any of your guys should be higher.

Oh, and I'll give myself an A for signing Godchaux in shark tank.  Dude has been really good for the Dolphins this year and part of why they were okay letting Suh go(at that price obviously) and why Phillips was getting no playing time.

If anyone wants a shark tank rookie graded, let me know.

Good luck man. I'm excited to see what people think about this one.

I spent some time thinking on what type of game plan to come at you with.  After acquiring Gordon your team is scary.

Landing him in that trade, really helps.  I thought your team was one dimensional with the injury to Mixon as neither of the other backs on your roster are even coming close to putting up those numbers.  I think when you look back at that trade you'll be happy with it.

I think you're hard on Williams. A good safety at the end of the 3rd is solid value. I also think you're a tad generous on Barnett. I would swap grades for them.

Sidney Jones is essentially a rookie this year. I knew it while drafting him. I have a lot of expectations for him next year and on.

Obi hasn't really played and was supposed to be raw. Obviously not a great looking pick but maybe he can bounce back .

The Obi pick was all me, when I was working on the Dragons that year.  Pains me to see him not produce the way I expected him to.  Hoping he can get healthy both mentally and physically and find a team that he can thrive in.

After Keanu Neal was added to IR, Eddie took his place and we haven't looked back.  Excellent coverage skills for a safety.
