stl4life07
The Rams 2012 was nearly perfect. Obviously the RG3 trade was the headliner but the trade with the Cowboys was very good too. They managed to get Brockers, Jenkins, Tru, Zeurlein, and Hekker (undrafted FA). The only negative was Fisher tried to get cute in the 2nd round to move back in that round and still get Wagner or Kendricks and missed out on both. The Rams ended up settling for Pead which turned out the be bust. Had the Rams stayed put and taken Wagner, maybe in 2013 the Rams wouldn’t have drafted Tree. Ironically Fisher traded back in the 2013 draft in hopes to still land Tree and it worked. That’s the luck of the draft I guess.

However, its silly to assume Wilson would have the same success in Indy as he did in Seattle. Too many people ignore what situations mean to certain players. I think Wilson wouldve been at least solid anywhere he went, but would he be a SB winning QB if he had been drafted by the Colts? Very doubtful. Wilson has never played on a team as bad as any of the Colts rosters have been over the last 5 years.

They don't know how their team looks in the future, or how the league shapes up. So this redraft is pretty much purely taking into account team needs at the time + player quality today. Also eliminating draft day trades. Ind: QB Russell Wilson Was: QB Andrew Luck Cle: QB Kirk Cousins Min: LB Luke Kuechly TB: LB Bobby Wagner STL: DT Fletcher Cox Jax: WR T.Y. Hilton (need a WR for your QBOTF) Mia: S Harrison Smith (debated going Foles/Keenum here, BPA is between Smith and Lavonte, latter doesn't really fit scheme) Car: CB Casey Hayward Buf: LB Lavonte David KC: DT Malik Jackson Sea: DE/LB Chandler Jones Ari: WR Alshon Jeffery Dal: CB Josh Norman Phi: OG David DeCastro (seems a bit late for arguably best guard in the league, feel like teams never hold OG in very high regard though) NYJ: LB/DE Melvin Ingram Cin: OG Kelechi Osmele SDC: NT Damon Harrison Chi: DE Whitney Mercilus Ten: CB Janoris Jenkins Cin: DT Mike Daniels (not great fit but BPA) Cle: RB Lamar Miller Det: CB Stephon Gilmore Pit: NT Dontari Poe Den: QB Nick Foles Hou: OG Brandon Brooks NE: LB Vontaze Burfict GB: CB Trumaine Johnson Bal: OT Cordy Glenn SF: WR Marvin Jones NE: DE Olivier Vernon NYG: LB Dont'a Hightower Steelers were extremely high on Dont'a Hightower and it came down to him and DeCastro, and they took DeCastro because G was a bigger need at that point. Beyond that, Hightower is a notably better player than Poe is. So, Hightower would be the Steelers pick. And Vontaze to the Patriots? You really think Belichick would take that kind of headache and distraction?

Ind: Russel Wilson - Say what you want about him but he's the best QB in this class by a solid Margin, Indy Takes the best QB. Was: Andrew Luck - Injuries aside I think Luck is still worth gambling on as a top 5 QB at this point, WAS would gladly take Luck. Cle: Luke Kuechley - Cleveland could use a stud LB and Kuechley is probably the best non QB in this draft. Min: Harrison Smith - Drafting smith this early is probably a reach but eh it will appease vikings fans who still get a top 3 safety. Jax: Chandler Jones - Jones turned out to be a stud pass rusher and If I remember correctly the Jaguars pass rush was garbage in 2012. Dal: Stephon Gilmore - I'm not too crazy about GIlmore but Dallas took Claiborne back in 2012 so why not a superior CB? TB: Fletcher Cox - TB could never fill the spot next to McCoy Cox fixes that. Mia: David DeCastro - Some could argue for Tannehill to still be here but I'd rather the dolphins take a stud G to fix a position that's been terrible since 2012. Car: Michael Brockers - Car misses out on Kuechley but this helps fix their DT position before they draft bust Star Louteukele or whatever his name is. Buf: Janoris Jenkins - Janoris Jenkins isn't a terrible consolation prize considering Buffalo needed a CB back then. KC: Dontari Poe - I'd say this pick worked out fairly well and it will stay the same. Phi: Michael Brockers - Another stud D-lineman. Ari: Ryan Tannehill - I don't know where to mock Tannehill but before MVPalmer showed up they needed a QB bad, I think they'd reach for the Solid Tannehill here. I did the first 13 picks before I got lazy so that's something I guess? Brockers to Philly AND Carolina? Damn.
tom cody
I think I take Kuechly ahead of at least 1 of the 3 QB's took in 2012. This Colts fan respects the need of a QB but a guy like Kuechly would look good in white and blue.
game3525
I don't know why people think Indy would take Wilson over Luck in a do over. The only thing that Indy would do over is hiring Grigson.

Why the let him walk is still beyond me, but he's sorely missed. I don't know if Brooks or AJ Bouye is the bigger regret. Thank goodness Rick Smith is gone. Was he inconsistent with you guys? His first season here in Philly he had some anxiety struggles. Once he got treated for those he was great this past season.
