tom cody
Saw that, was in his debut I believe, absolutely terrible news for him, my very best to him in his recovery. Also best of luck to Werth going forward, the guy had a great career.

Update: May be the sensitivity bus. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/23938797/chris-bosio-says-was-sued-tigers-misunderstanding Guessing the Tigers will settle just to keep this from dragging on and we don't hear that much more about it. FWIW, google doesn't give any results when searching for Stumpf and the nickname before this story broke.
playmaker8267
AL Central fans: what's the eye test telling you about Michael Fulmer? The Yankees had a scout watching him today against Oakland. Some Fangraphs scouting tells me the following: He ranks near the bottom among AL qualifiers in Hard%, Soft%, and Pull% (which is bad) this season. He's throwing his changeup less than in previous years, he's still locating his pitches, but hitters are chasing pitches outside the zone less. The latter point goes against the grain of what the league has trended towards. What's the deal with him?

Spartica4Real
Tbh I remember when earlier this year I commented how good of a pickup Rondon had been, and someone replied "Just wait for it" implying he was gonna fall off. He's still been a great pickup and I'm still waiting.
beekay414
70 games, .313/.373/.645, 19 HR, 54 RBI, .332 ISO, 166 wRC+, .421 wOBA, 2.4 fWAR (before today so it's probably higher) He's not the MVP (Freddie Freeman, Lorenzo Cain, Nolan Arenado, Max Scherzer) but he's red friggin' hot. Mix of both. A lot less suck in the NL. 60% of the teams in the NL are over .500 while 33% are over .500 in the AL.
