No they’re probably both right. Cousins held the ball a lot — several bootlegs, several more deep shots, a couple of late checkdowns, a couple of screens. He did see some early pressure from OL getting beat, but some of that pressure was unblocked (like the bootlegs) or only arrived later in the play.

That's a good point...and they're still 6th place (behind Cowboys, Niners, Chiefs, Lions, and Saints).

I’m guessing the Bears will have 2 by the end of the first quarter. Considering how the 1st and 3rd game went, no passing in the fourth quarter, that shouldn’t be a surprising stat. MN hasn’t really faced many obvious passing situations.

PFF Grades so far this year for both the Tackles:

Brian O'Neill: 
Run Block Grade:    72.6 (11th out of 95 Tackles)

Pass Block Grade:  69.9 (36th out of 90 Tackles)

Overall Grade:         74.2 (11th out of 98 Tackles)

 

Riley Reiff:

Run Block Grade:    52.6 (65th out of 95 Tackles)

Pass Block Grade:  70.2 (35th out of 90 Tackles)

Overall Grade:         60.2 (49th out of 98 Tackles)

 

In short, O'Neill's run blocking has been excellent, pass blocking has been above average. Reiff's pass blocking has been above average but run blocking has been poor. On the whole, O'Neill has been very good whereas Reiff has been average.

PFF Grades so far this year for the Centers:

Garret Bradbury: 
Run Block Grade:    52.1 (28th out of 34 Centers)

Pass Block Grade:  6.6 (34th out of 34 Centers)

Overall Grade:         39.4 (35th out of 35 Centers)

 

In short, Bradbury has been the worst Center in league so far this season. He has been the worst in Pass Blocking and also really poor in Run Blocking.

Josh Kline:

Run Block Grade:    62.1 (36th out of 84 Guards)

Pass Block Grade:  73.5 (20th out of 88 Guards)

Overall Grade:         66.7 (23rd out of 74 Guards)

 

Dakota Dozier:

Run Block Grade:    64.2 (30th out of 84 Guards)

Pass Block Grade:  46.4 (71st out of 88 Guards)

Overall Grade:         62.1 (39th out of 74 Guards)

 

Pat Elflein: 
Run Block Grade:    57.9 (56th out of 84 Guards)

Pass Block Grade:  51.1 (75th out of 88 Guards)

Overall Grade:         57.7 (47th out of 74 Guards)

 

On the whole, Kline has been decent, Dakota has been average and Pat has been below average
