Can't allow subjectivity as a deciding factor on Redemption Island.

The players were voted out due to their own inability to acquire/use Hidden Idols or make the requisite alliances to keep them in the game.  As such, Redemption Island has to involve chance.  As the game progresses, the challenges both on Redemption Island and Immunity Challenges evolve towards more skill, strategy and logic and less on luck.  This is by design.  Players can avoid Redemption Island and the need for luck through proper alliance building, helping their tribes win rewards and Immunity, as well as using Hidden Immunity Idols.

One or more tribes looked at their Idol every single time they looked at their tribe flag.  Determination could have prevented the need for luck.

Words.

how about you focus on getting the the tree crew out of the 7/11 to submit their moves

Don't you worry about the tree crew or you're gonna get knocked out like that chick's brother...

A Note on Challenges:

This is the challenge of having tribes.  Things would be different if we weren't online, but it's very difficult to come up with challenges that can work in an online setting with multiple players on multiple tribes.  Last season, allowing strategizing for tribes in tribal challenges led to worse controversies than we've had for this game.  If tribes were allowed to work together, the challenges simply wouldn't work.  As the tribes go down, the challenges change in nature.  Five of the next six challenges require strategizing with your tribe.  The worst challenges had to be the first challenges.

The Reward Challenges are based on time because they're reward challenges.  Tribes are rewarded for submitting earliest.  Every tribe has the same amount of players or close to it.  If I waited for everybody to be active in the challenges, based on the nature of having 28 players and various challenges, we would be here for a year.

I am aware of the problems with challenges, but that's just the way it has to be based on the nature of the game.  The challenge in this part of the game is making sure you are aligned with the right players in order to make it further into the game where skill, strategy and logic play a larger role.
