Yeah, Boston has been a pretty putrid drafting team for the better of 10 years at least

Hating on Ainge's draft was en vogue a couple seasons ago, but I don't think we can really go there. Trading down for Tatum. Brown at 3 was not a consensus pick. Rozier and Smart have been hits. It's been a solid to great last few seasons.

What makes Boston any better than say the LA Clippers or Toronto?  I mean, Boston has been good at drafting lately, but we're also talking about guys they spent top 10 picks.  Guys drafted in the second half of the first round over the last decade include Ante Zizic, RJ Hunter, James Young, Lucas Nogueira, Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, Mar'Shon Brooks, Avery Bradley, and JR Giddens.  Of those, you would probably argue that Avery Bradley and Jared Sullinger are the most successful of the bunch.  Those are a couple of good players, but nothing great.  It's a good gamble to make given how talented he is, but pretending like Boston is going to quell those concerns seem optimistic at best at this case.

WE GOT A LAKERS FAN EVERYBODY

dude fell, sure. obviously he fell for a reason. but we all know what we've seen with our eyes which is one of the best bigs in college basketball and we know that he was considered at least a lottery pick last year.

The Celtics have hit on at least one pick for the last 5 years. Sullinger, Olynyk, Smart, Rozier, Brown, Tatum. Jury still out on guys like Yabusele, Zizic and Williams obviously. I'd say they're drafting pretty well.

His surgery is actually not super uncommon for NBA players. But it is a risk for re-injury for sure. And the surgery was very non-invasive, but yeah definitely a high risk. Nuggets were in a place to make it, so we'll see.

It's not just the injury though. The injury happened because of his posture while playing. He's always too upright in every facet. When he dribbles on the perimeter, when he goes up for rebounds, when he plays defense, when he goes up for drives. You name it, and he's too upright. This is the scariest thing about his injury. It came to be cause of how he has always played and got him to be a lottery pick. So this heightens his risk for re-injury much higher than it would be for a shorter player who plays up right, or a taller player who plays closer to the ground. Just to re-clarify, this isn't some freak injury, this is something that he created through his own style of play and will be a problem as long as he still plays the way he does. I just don't have a huge sample size of players that needed to change such a large aspect of their game to stay healthy.

I think Doncic and Bagley are both more ready to contribute to winning than Ayton so either way I feel like the Kings would have screwed the Celtics but I think Bagley will be a good player in Sacramento and am not sure why some people are so low on him

He's not nearly as bad as a defender as STAT was, who he is mostly linked to in terms of potential. Or as bad as a defender as people make him out to be.

It was en vogue because it was warranted

But yes, obviously the decisions made the last couple of years have been elite

Very good chance I'm the only one, but I liked what the Knicks did a lot. Their biggest needs were overall team athleticism, and a wing. They then add two great athletes. We also needed a back-up big, considering we might lose both of our centers in the offseason. They could have played it safe, but they instead swung for the fences, which is good considering their only aim next year should be developing young players. He could very well be the best wing from this draft class. Hopefully Frank sees him playing lackadaisical during a play and rips him a new one.

Brown and Tatum were elite talents in their respective drafts, but yes, making the move to pick Tatum specifically was an amazing move

I wouldn't call Sullinger and Olynyk hits per se, especially seeing as how the Celtics didn't elect to resign them past their rookie deals

I think Kevin Knox has a higher floor and a better ceiling than most people are given credit for. He's certainly is an all-around athletic player. Ask for Mitchell Robinson I think it is a perfect gamble to take. A lottery type Talent who the Knicks can bring along slowly since they are not in a position to win a championship anytime soon. As a former New Yorker I hope both players pan out well

Lolololol. Alright.

Listen, you're a Duke fan, we get it. I can assure you I've seen more of Bagley than you can even imagine. I'm okay with people having differing opinions on prospects. But to suggest people don't know anything about a basketball because of that is laughable.
