Broncofan
Man that sucks. Yet another case where the clinical test suggested he was ok (reported a lot last night) - and then the MRI shows the bad news. The clinical test suggesting the ACL is torn then is pretty much 100 percent accurate (McKinnnon). But when the test is negative (Guice & Neal), people have got to stop reporting that things look OK. The MRI is the true test (if the clinical test raises alarms though that’s legit). I’d hope they have a MRI on Freeman before saying he’s ok there. Only silver lining is that the injury is early enough he should be back for 2019 if all goes as planned. Still a gut punch.
Broncofan
I hope the ATL medical staff and FO understand the concept of cognitive dissonance and get a MRI for Freeman before saying he’s OK.
Gannon12
That looked awful last night. Feel bad for Falcon fans he is a tremendous player. Hope he recovers fast. Did they RGIII him, sending him back in?

Jeezla
I figured this was the case after he went down the 2nd time, but was hoping it was just a sprain. Bums me out. He's fun to watch and better than Collinsworth made him sound last night.
Forge
Shades of Eric Berry. Damn. Tough break, falcons fans
wackywabbit
Ugh.. he grabbed his knee the first time and my immediate fear the second time was that the medical team made a mistake sending him back in.
TomRalph
That's 2 years in a row that the team playing the SB winner on opening night loses their safety for the rest of the season through injury... IT'S A CONSPIRACY
MacReady
I hope they sign Eric Reid and then release him after the Saints game and then re-sign him right before the second Saints game then release him again. Not because of anything against Reid, but so that the Saints lose two games and give the Packers a higher draft pick without making the Falcons better in the long run. AZ_Eaglesfan
Tough to lose a player like that week one. Falcons are deep though, they will bounce back.
