So what are we thinking here?

Rashod Bateman is traded for a pick that we use to fortify our defense?

Perhaps we draft Bijan Robinson top 5?
(being sarcastic)

LOL more like Bateman traded for a pick that we use to take an OG or something.

Probably time to start scouting for a 3rd TE behind Andrews and Likely and/or an off ball linebacker to pair with Smith

If you're happy about Bateman's behavior.... you're a cuck. Straight up.

This moron is defending our talent at WR(Something the same fans cheering on his outburst exclusively complain about), and seemingly lashing out at our GM for issues our GM has zero power to change(OC & other staff).

All his outburst does is hurt the club, nothing more. So again, if you're happy about it or enjoying it in some way.... you're cucked out all the way.

Bateman should shut the f*ck up and worry about how he is going to contribute in 23'.

Notice how all these 'brave' and 'outspoken' players aren't calling out Harbaugh, the only man(besides Biscotti) who could've actually forced the changes they apparently wanted. That's because they're more social media hoe than anything else. Running their mouth like little girls who want attention from the worst parts of the fanbase.

Calm down man. It's not that big a deal for him to talk. Decosta shouldn't be criticizing the WR room publicly, even if it's true that it is not good.

No cuck, it is a big deal. It signals dysfunction and adds more toxicity to our club atmosphere which already  needs a great deal of cleansing.

There's no wiggle room on this issue, Bateman was/is wrong.

He didn't even know the rest of what DeCosta said at the podium, including about him. Why is likely why he deleted and apologized.

There's a cost to all of this. Outbursts from our players hurt our ability to sign FAs, negotiate contracts, etc. It's destructive harmful behavior and if you're a 'fan' of the Ravens and support club success you shouldn't be okay with it.

This isn't Dobbins questioning why he didn't get the ball more or Lamar hoping we open up the playbook. It's literally an anti club outburst in line with something a headcase like AB would've tweeted out.

I don't know why I have to explain how nonsensical social media outbursts aren't good for the club.

Ah you’re right. It’s like rock, paper, scissors.

Trade an OL loses to Edge
Trade a WR loses to OL

So presumably
Trade an Edge loses to WR?

I think what we’ve got to do is start really getting after Oweh, perhaps start calling him Jayson all the time on Twitter, perhaps that’ll piss him off enough so that we can trade him and pickup Marvin Harrison Jr next season.😎

Don’t sleep on Kolar, but you might be onto something… a 4th string TE like Michael Mayer would be something this team could really utilize.

Seems like a good class, could even double dip at the position.

Leonard's arrival and Drew Wilkins departure coincided with Oweh's 22' regression. With two large investments at EDGE in Oweh and Ojabo this coaching vacancy is one to keep an eye on.

Weird. When I quoted you, the correct tweet pops up, but on the forum that didn’t show for me.

But yeah, seems like an addition by subtraction type of move. Don’t want to have our young edges regressing. Though Oweh could just be someone that is destined for mediocrity, he couldn’t put it all together in college at any point either.

If he doesn’t produce next season, it might be smart of the franchise to see if he’s got any sort of value to other teams similar to when we let go of Hayden Hurst early allowed us to nab Dobbins.

Cuck is a strong word and position when there’s some truth in this from both sides.

The offensive weapons have been disgruntled for a few years now and Roman was consistently the arbiter of the concerns. Yet we retained him in 2021 and again in 2022.

We had arguably the best draft WR in franchise history demand and be traded, former WRs speaking out, etc.

That was already an organizational black mark was it not?

EDC is ultimately the only person that can keep Harbaugh in check and thus having him move off of Roman and make the tough move a year early would’ve been something that is HIS responsibility. He needs to take accountability for that. Also Harbaugh refused to move up off of Steve Saunders after plenty of voiced opposition as well. So part of EDC’s job is to be that liaison for the players. Ozzie was a master at that interpersonal relationship. Players need to feel heard and they need to feel like they can covertly speak their issues to the GM so that it doesn’t impact their relationship with the coaches (and they end up in the proverbial doghouse). EDC has been a great friend to Harbaugh, but has he been able to keep his friends ego in check and force him to make the right decisions before they pollute the roster?

Whats more, that tweet, taken out of context as it was… is certainly a bad look. I’m sure Bateman was informed that he was not one of those WRs that EDC was referring to and I’m sure EDC probably didn’t mean it quite as aggressively as it could’ve come across to a young player who has yet to prove his worth.

But on the other hand, Rashod Bateman has not produced and that should be his number one concern. This is also the GM of the organization, he shouldn’t feel as though he can just publicly cross that line without repercussions, even if the GM crosses that line himself.

Regardless of how much truth and frustration their might be within the locker room.

But the reality is his job as a player is to produce regardless of the excuses. If he’s on the field producing, perhaps this squad is more formidable and is playing deeper into January if not winning in February. He needs to put his money where his mouth is.

Ultimately, EDC needs to actively take this as a sign that he needs to do a better job within the relationships with the players. He might be better at some things than Ozzie, but you can get a sense that players don’t feel quite as respected under this GM regime as they did under Ozzie… and that’s a big deal. If EDC is better at his job, players wouldn’t feel the need to go to Twitter to voice their frustrations. It’s a new generation, sure, but part of EDCs job is to have strong enough relationships to players that if they did hear something out of turn, they would know they could go to him prior to expressing their frustrations via the media/online.
