From a culture perspective, if we cut Daniels to sign Suh, that would probably make me more upset than any other roster move we've made. And that includes cutting Herb Waters

Have no idea what culture perspective has to do anything as a football player.  What would be so upsetting?

Culture as in locker room. Daniels is an unquestioned leader, maybe THE leader, of the team. At the very least the defense. Trading him for someone who has Suh's attitude would be a huge mistake imo

I concur, but I'd like to have both of them.

I've read more than once that Jaire was a big time leader for the defense/team. Getting up in front of the lockerroom as a rookie is big time.

It just proves the point.

a leader is a leader, born that way.

Dont bother trying to create one.

The same can be said about players trying to make themselves a leader.

Either, you are, or not. Anyone with a functioning brain can spot the difference between real and fraud.

JA is real.

I don't know if I want a dork as the leader of our defense.  97% joking, but our defense has been soft as hell ever since Charles Woodson left.

I don't disagree about the dork part.

But, I honestly do not care where the person comes from. If they can lead, let them.

when I was in SEA in 90-91, we had Privates that were better leaders than the *******s from WP.

True FACT.

Like I said, I don't care how old a person is, their background, or IQ.

A leader is a leader and you cannot teach it.

I think JA is a leader, I think MDaniels is more bark than bite.

I agree to an extent, but don't forget Woodson wasn't born a leader or even came to GB as one. He turned himself into one.

I don't think Woodson was ever put in a position to lead in Oakland.

i think that he was given an opportunity to do so in GB and he responded.

Actually, I think this may have been McCarthy's biggest coup.

He challenged Woodson, Woodson responded.

Other than that, what did MM achieve?

Woodson is a born leader that given the chance was a leader.

Honestly?

I think the Patriots are the best team I have seen in my lifetime. I was not old enough to really see the Lombardi years, born in 66.

But what BB has been able too to do over 20 years is phenomenal. And it starts and stops with his structure. It is a weak argument that he cheats, every team in the league has the same opportunities, he used them.

The Packers, then the Steelers, then the Cowboys were the measuring stick. Now, it is the Patriots.

what do all of these teams have in common?

You mean besides changing around the late career arc of Brett Favre and developing Rodgers into one of the best in the game?

Has Suh had any incidents in the past 5 years even?

Has Daniels produced relative to his contract recently?

Maybe in 2016 this argument has more merit. I'm more interested in 2019 though!

Has Ray Rice thrown any left hooks lately?
