@Ozzy Kenny Phillips was very good when he actually played. His issues were chronic injuries that entirely derailed his career.

Yeah this is what I remember too. I tried to avoid putting injury busts on my list, but I couldn't think of any other safeties I had whiffed on. In retrospect, I'd omit Phillips and put Taylor Mays on that list.

@ET80 I also loved me some Cordarrelle Patterson. He had rare freak traits and his open field ability at Tennessee was absolutely wicked. He looked like a future superstar. I was shocked he wasn't drafted in the top 10 that year.

There were several Texans' fans that were livid that we selected DeAndre Hopkins over Patterson...

Hindsight is 20/20, right?

I'll list them in order of biggest fail

10. Quentin Groves - loved this kid as a 2nd rounder. Ran like a 4.4 as an edge player in a 3-4. Straight garbage.

9. Aaron Curry - Had EVERYTHING you could want from an off ball LB. Dunno what happened to him. Never followed his career in Seattle.

8. Ray Maualuga - Makings of a HOF thumper. It all went downhill when he wore the pink speedo to USC practice

7. Prince Amukamara - While he's had a decent career, the whiff for me came because I thought he was just a bit under Patrick Peterson.

6. Marvin Austin - I thought he was going to be game changing 3 tech. Consolation prize... I was kind of right about Quinn. He bent really well and I had him as a top 12 prospect. Austin I had as a 2nd round "steal" lol

5. Dan Williams - Had him pegged as a top 25 pick for NT for the Browns in a trade up. Gross.

4. Barkevious Mingo - I was upset the Browns finished just outside blue chip player range in 2013 but was glad we got a consolation prize in a sure fire 10+ sack/year player. This pick set the Browns back ANOTHER year which is still to be continued.

3. Devante Parker - was my pick for the Browns at 12 and drew comparisons to AJ Green. His mama hated the Browns and I'm glad we didn't end up with him. At least we got a 3rd back for Shelton... *continues crying*

2. Sam Bradford - Great mechanics, release, accuracy, cerebral and also made of glass.

1. Trent Richardson - I love RBs and this one broke my heart. I thought he could be a perennial 1500 yard rusher with his toughness. Turns out he was made for the big screen.... or a computer screen... whatever people watch porn on these days.

Honorable Mention (Those players I liked and thought would be good NFL players but wasn't on the bandwagon):

- Quentin Coples

- Stephen Hill

- Bjoern Werner

- Justin Gilbert

- Aaron Maybin

As a Titans fan I've accurately predicted numerous busts of ours (Chris Henry the workout warrior being at the top of the list). But when we drafted Chance Warmack I was ecstatic because i thought we landed a perennial All Pro guard, especially since I didn't like Cooper at all. Man that one stung a lot.

I thought WR Jonathan Baldwin was gonna be a stud. I loved his YAC and jump ball ability. Also coming out of Aliquippa , PA how could he fail? Well apparently he was a knucklehead and I should have seen the writing on the wall pre-draft there was some sort of substance abuse/domestic abuse issue iirc.  I definitely am more selective of WRs who are tall/heavy now because of Baldwin.

For whatever reason I liked the scat-backs RB Ameer Abdullah & RB Lamichael James. They might of been small backs but they always fell forward so I liked that. RB Samaje Perine I thought was gonna ball out. Oops. He plays a lot smaller than he did in college and has no vision. I also liked RB Jeremy Langford, RB Montario Hardesty. Oops and Oops.

I was nailing O-line prospects many years in a row and I was shocked LG Xavier Su'a-Filo was such a bum with the Texans.

RG3 didn't amount of much and I was on the hype train.

I would have blown a trucker to land Maualuga on the Browns.

He was a beast in college...didn't he have some big time injuries?
