McDaniel is a Yale grad (WWR) with experience in his system. Wasn't 49ers run game pretty good considering the injuries?

Who?

Lauren Elise

Word on the street is if you google you might find something you would be interested in.

With play calling having such a buzz these days - and rightfully so - gotta wonder how many are hesitant to take a job where LeFleur will call plays ?

You either get an young gun that needs experience (ala LaFleur with McVay a few years ago) or you get an older administrator that likes that role and not interested in play calling (ala Joe with McCarthy all those years).

they won’t get a guy with playcalling experience or a guy that that is their next step in progressing.

Campen makes alot of sense for LaFleur to keep just for continuity. He has been coaching for the Packers for 14 straight years. His offensive lines is mainly built on zone schemes which may suit LaFleur as his offensive principles are based on Kubiak/Shanahan zone schemes. What he has going for him is a superb record developing mid-late round OL such as Bakthiari, Sitton, Lang, Linsley, Taylor and Tretter. Campen might be a useful buffer between LaFleur and the players too,

If he is let go then Frank Pollack becomes an obvious candidate to replace him. He worked under Kubiak at Houston for four years. The Bengals will be hiring a new head coach and in the process might free up Pollack. He was recently the OL coach with Cowboys and was responsible for developing the elite OL we see today such as Collins, Frederick, Martin, Smith. He was fired because I think failed to get the OL to pass protect properly or that the backups weren't developed adequately enough to step in when a starter was injured - i'm not sure.

May be division-related but it looks like Shanahan isn't letting McDaniel interview for OC positions.

Is that a case-by-case thing for a team?  I'm guessing yes?

Like you say, might be more willing for Packers who aren't in the divisions.  Might also be more willing to let him go to LaFleur because of the personal friendship/respect.

Was not impressed by what I saw/read of Raih, glad to see he'll be replaced.

Remember that 2015 season when Nelson was out for the entire season. That was with Van Pelt as WR coach. Adams was absolutely useless as a no.1 WR.

Luke Getsey took over as WR coach and helped turn it around for Adams and for the next two season we saw steady improvement.

This year was Raih first season as WR coach and he continued to help Adams improve even further contributing to his best ever season with 111 catches, 1386 yards and 13 TD.

Are we honestly saying the Raih played no part in his development?
