Even if he wasn’t coming off of a season ending injury I still wouldn’t have wanted him at that price. I wanted him around $2-$4M per year. He’s a very good back up and an ok starter. He’s way better than Alex Boone and Tom Compton were for us at LG. He mostly played OG for us, but I think he was a bit undersized there. He could be better at center so maybe he does have better value there and might live up to the contract if he doesn’t have any lingering effects from his injury. The Vikings definitely could’ve upgraded from and at $6M a year I’m fine with him leaving. Hopefully we can find a better starter early in the draft and get a comp pick for him.
