Kiwibrown
What value would you place qb on a rookie contract that has demonstrated the ability to be a franchise qb? The best examples recently would be the Wentz and RG3 trades which involved multiple picks and more. What about a qb who has demonstrated either positive play, Darnold, Baker, Goff, or mvp level of play Wentz, Mahomes?
Xmad
The real answer is, they don't have a value because no one would trade them. You heard it here first, QBs have no value.
RaidersAreOne
Definitely more than 3 1sts. I'd instantly pull the trigger of #4, #24 and #27 for a legit young franchise QB. I'd probably offer 4-5 1sts.
ninjapirate
Honestly unless you are the raiders this year with 5 firsts in the next 2 years I don't think most teams even have the ability to trade for true franchise Qbs.

iknowcool
How much of a difference would it make if they were on rookie contracts? Even if the Chiefs decided tomorrow to trade Mahomes, you are still only looking at maybe 2 years of him of him playing for rookie money. The 5th year option is ~16m, which is really cheap for a legit franchise QB, but there is almost no way Mahomes isn't extended after Year 3 or 4. If you told the Chiefs you would trade them 4 or 5 first-round picks, and they accepted, your team better already be good enough to win the championship with him in those 2 years or else you are just going to end up paying big money to a QB anyway except without quality first round picks to bring in more good to great players on rookie deals (unless you completely knock it out of the park in the mid to late rounds, which is difficult for even the best of GMs to do consistently). wackywabbit
Fans and analysts are currently wildly overrating the value of the rookie contract aspect. It's the top tier quarterback that's valuable, not the cap savings. The savings of the 20M-ish of the top QB contract vs a first round rookie QB is a very minor factor for team building. That's like 11-12% of the cap. Many of your own best players at any time will be on rookie deals, so what value is that space really? Going to grab a Trey Flowers, CJ Mosley, or Za'Darius Smith in free agency? Sign Devin Funchess and a kicker? I'd rather have a marginally better QB that isn't on a rookie deal TBH. Nightime
Alot But no one would trade a rookie contract QB who has proven himself as franchise caliber
ET80
Depends on the QB. I wouldn't trade anything for Deshaun Watson... unless someone would give me the #1 pick in 2021 for Trevor Lawrence.
43M
Depends mostly on the QB. Not sure why any team would ever trade a QB under 30 who is either a proven franchise QB or a potential franchise QB with more upside...UNLESS a team somehow hit the jackpot and ended up with 2 at the same time...but that's unlikely to ever happen. megatechpc
Anybody care to speculate on the trade package Cleveland could get right now for Baker (not that they would even consider any trade of course)? Its an interesting question for me because I think despite how great he looked last season, there is still lingering doubt about him from the teams around the NFL so I'm not sure what teams would be all-in on a potential trade for him or what they'd be willing to part with? Centurion
If a team that wasn't the Raiders had the Raiders' number of picks in the first two rounds of the next two drafts and offered all of them for Mahomes, then you'd at least have to think about it. But it would take an offer like that. That being said, the Raiders could offer all their picks for the next 15 years and I'd never accept the trade. tom cody
I think 4 1sts would probably do it.
