Tomahawk
I don't recall us being offered a 1st rounder for him, but based on our 2008 draft, I doubt we'd have picked a good player anyhow lol

bruceb
I loathed Anderson and could not the believe the "fool's gold" support he got in this forum.
NateDawg
I’d hate to think what fans think of every other Browns QB aside from Baker, for those that “loathed” Anderson.

Baker 2. Couch 3. Ando 4. Holcombe 5. Hoyer

If anyone speaks ill of those five then I’ll plug my virgin ears for what is said of the rest (Not that 2-5 were good sustainable options). I think couch would of been top 10 had there been some level of competence around him.
ditchdigger
According to spotrac, Derek Anderson earned $33,284,303 over a 14 year career. Gotta tip the cap, honestly. Turned a hot streak into generational wealth.

pnies20
I loved Anderson. He drove me mad at some points but he was the best we had since couch or Holcomb. Watching him against the bengals in 2007 was the first win I saw in person.

I had two giant jugs of Carlo Rossi wine leftover from the night before and my buddy and I said we’d smash a glass of wine every time they scored. It was a massive error in judgement. It was an epic game.

NudeTayne
Gotta say, Chad Johnson was the greatest Bengal of all time. Would have been honored had he been a Brown.
Rod Johnson
I know this is a random memory, and there probably isn't any video footage of it. But I remember in 2007 vs. the Raiders our team got in an after the whistle scuffle with their defense. DA just casually walked behind the fray with his hands in his pockets, then grabbed a DB by the top of his shoulder pads from behind and threw him on the ground. My favorite memory of him. Also that ~40 yard run against the Chiefs in 2006 to set up the win.
