Texans fire GM Brian Gaine

Saw he was in year 2 of a deal that ran until 2022, the same length as O'Brien.

Have to wonder if was some behind the scene disagreement or some type of power struggle between he and BOB and/or ownership. Such an out of nowhere move.

Did Bill O'Brien win another power struggle?

If I'm a candidate for the job I tell the Texans I'm not taking it unless I have the ability to fire BoB after this season.

I wonder if it was Cal - and he's bringing his buddy Rick Smith back.

I'd flat out quit following the team.

Note - Janice McNair (Bob's wife) has controlling stake in the team. So, she had to sign off on it.

John McClain is saying Nick Caserio from New England is a possible candidate. He was a very big name during the search when the Texans landed with Gaine.

This isn't a very good sign. Going to be a real cluster over the next few weeks.

Do we really think that if they took Cody Ford, or McGary, or Little, or Jawaan, or Risner this doesn't happen?

I was just making a joke but considering he did take the more raw talent when he has a QB thats running for his life, it might have helped to get the more immediate guy or make the trade up for Dillard.
