11sanchez11
Kawhi has won one Finals where he was the best player on the team and it was against a team w/o their best player and another All-star. Let's make this the popular narrative so Kawhi doesn't go to the Lakers. Kawhi is unproven. Edited July 4, 2019 by 11sanchez11

But that team didn't really have one dominant players just a great team.
showtime
I mean, Kevin Durant joined the team that he lost to when the Thunder were up 3-1 in the western conference finals. That alone makes it much different. Also, Durant had never won a championship, whereas Kawhi is a two time Finals MVP.
YogiBiz
It’s not weak. It’s been going on since the inception of the NBA

If you want to pick one player, then it would be Duncan NOT Leonard. Was Leonard their best in the finals? Sure, but definitely not the entire postseason. Fresh Prince
Kawhis might be weaker If he joins LA. He’s proven he can be the man but decides to join two top 5 players. That’s weak. Edited July 4, 2019 by Fresh Prince

LeBron after game 2 really only scored in bunches either early on or in the 2nd half when the game was getting away from the Heat. And besides his defense, Kawhi was lights out shooting the ball that series. Pretty sure he shot over 50% from down town. He definitely deserved the MVP in that finals but wasn't the best player on the team during the playoff run.
SkippyX
How dare a professional athlete want finals recognition of his greatness and a chance to win some titles? KD went to a team where he could showcase his incredible talents and wound up as back to back finals MVP. There was a decent shot of 3 for 3 before he got hurt. This quest is similar to what 100s of other free agents have done when joining... The 80s - 90s 49ers The 90s Cowboys Deion Sanders did both and was praised The Heat Super Team KD won 2 in his 3 years, just like Miami LeBron Any team that ever won the title the year before KD often comes across as a strange and unhappy dude, but hating on him choosing where to go in free agency is absolute weaksauce. iLikeDefense
Kawhi to clippers wasn’t even an option in this post. Respect Kawhi even more for going to LAC.
