The Packers will get the higher pick in the 7th.  It's not much, but better than nothing if they were going to cut him.

This and Gilbert being worth a straight up 7th. 

NFL trades don’t make any sense

but.....we don't know if cleveland are going to have a worse season than us yet?

If we're end up being worse then we given away mccray and a 7th rounder 

for a lower 7th rounder.

 

nah..... makes zero sense. I suspect we will find out more in an hour or so.

It's very likely a conditional or a right to swap 7th round picks.
